Marc Jacobs Violet has to be without a doubt, one of the
prettiest fragrances I have ever seen and I know they say never judge a book by
its cover, or a fragrance by its bottle, but I mean, come on!
Just look at it!
This very special fragrance is a Limited Edition and is only
available to buy from World Duty Free.
Now I’m not saying that you should book a holiday just so you can buy this little lovely,
but if you are a huge Dot or Honey fan, you might actually want to consider it!
Violet belongs to the same line as Dot and Honey, which you
may have guessed from the gorgeous pearlescent, butterfly details on the bottle
and lid.
The bottle itself is a shimmering, iridescent purple, which
is really hard to photograph by the way but looks just so very, very pretty.
I have to say, I expected the fragrance to be far more
floral and possess stronger notes of Violet, given that that’s its name, but I
was actually glad that that wasn’t the case.
Top notes of Bergamot, Green Apple and Kumquat are
refreshingly sweet while mid notes of White Lily, Jasmine, Magnolia and Violet
add a delicate, addictive floral quality to the scent.
Dry notes of Vanilla Bean, Precious Woods and Skin Musks
round off the fragrance perfectly creating a gorgeous fruity-floral scent.
It is a fragrance that would be best described as soft,
warm, creamy and just the right amount of sweet vs floral.
If like me you are already a die-hard Marc Jacobs fan then
you are going to want this fragrance. If you love pretty things and aren’t a
fan of super flowery or super sacchariney scents then it’s also the one for
you!
So, make sure you leave enough time when you’re jetting off
on your holibobs to go and check out Marc Jacobs Violet from World Duty Free
because you’ll regret it if you forget!
