Its been quite some
time since I indulged in a beauty box but one of the boxes I’ve always wanted
to try is from Cohorted.
I’ve seen reviews of
these boxes for a couple of months now and I’ve been left gob smacked by the
quality of the products included in the box and their super high retail prices
verus the actual price you pay for the box!
Basically, each box contains
a secret selection of hand-picked beauty must haves, enclosed in an elegant
black box finished with a luxury hand tied bow.
Unlike a host of
other beauty boxes you don’t have sign up and subscribe to receive a box each
month, which I LOVE, meaning you can just pick and choose if you wish to buy a
box each month.
Each monthly box
costs £19.99 and they ALWAYS sell out. (In
fact, you can pre-order September’s box now, which I’d highly recommend doing
if you don’t want to miss out)
I managed to get my
hands on a July box and just look at all the amazing items I got. £63.50 ‘s
worth of goodies may I add.
Diego Dalla Palama Snow White & The Huntsman Palette (RRP £25)
Created for and based
on the colours used in the Movie Snow White & The Huntsman, this palette is
right up my street.
Containing 6 full
sized eyeshadows, a Wicked Queen Lipstick and Dark Night eye pencil, this kit
would actually be worth a whopping £105 if the products were sold separately.
You’ll find a mix of
3 matte and 3 shimmer shades from gentle nudes to rich brows which allow you to
create stunning daytime or night time looks.
I love the
not-so-subtle nod to the film with the shadow names; Named Snow, Shield, Mirror
Mirror, Fairest, Destiny and Battleground and each shadow is beautifully soft,
rich and easy to blend.
I love a red lippie
and Wicked Queen is a rich, vivid blood red shade that personally I think looks
great with my snow white, ivory skin!
The soft khol liner
finished off the kit perfectly, ensure your eyes are left looking defined and enchanting.
Flora by Gucci Perfumed Body Lotion (£7.50)
If you’re a fan of
the fragrance you’ll love this body lotion.
Flora by Gucci is a
feminine, deeply sensual fragrance for women, inspired by Gucci's iconic Flora
Pattern. The fragrance is
characterised by contrasts and is for the classic, modern Gucci woman who has a
youthful, feminine spirit.
The lotion is really
fragranced so would complement the perfume beautifully, leaving the scent to
linger on you all day long.
It is rich but
absorbed quickly leaving you smelling gorgeous and your skin feeling soft.
St Tropez Gradual Tanning Firming 4 In 1 Lotion (RRP £20)
St Tropez is always
my go-to tanning brand thanks to the lovely, non-orange shade it leaves me
looking!
This easily absorbed,
tinted so you can see where you’re putting it lotion is perfect for gradually
building a natural looking tan while giving your skin a hint of extra firmness.
Exfoliate well before
using then apply liberally over your body and watch it sink into your skin
quickly, leaving you feeling moisturised and beautiful.
It contains an
innovative melanin technology which works with your skin to provide a bespoke
natural glow and Chronodyn TM acts to ‘wake up’ and energise cells, improving
the tone and firmness of problem areas.
Nails Inc Matte Nail Polish in Gatwick (RRP £11)
I adore a matte nail
and love that this shade goes gorgeously with the DDP Wicked Witch lippie.
You
do need to be careful with this little gem though as because it is matte it
dries really quickly, so you’ve gotta be quick with the application but it
gives a really sophisticated look.
Remember not to use a
top coat though as it will loose its matte-ness! (Is that a word?)
I’m super impressed
with this box and have to say that it’s one of the few I’d actually go back to
and buy again.
The quality and
variety of products is just amazing and for just £19.99, even if you get
something in the box that you don’t love THAT much, all of the other items more
than make up for it.
You can get your
Cohorted Beauty Box from their website and pre-order your September box now.
