Carolina Herrera Good Girl Légère

Good Girl Légère is the fresh, bold and sprightly new scent from Carolina Herrera.

As a HUGE fan of the original (you can read my review of this HERE) I wasn’t sure what to expect from Légère but I was actually very impressed.

Perfect for spring and lighter, sunny days Légère is housed in the same iconic and stunning vessel as its predecessor but to reflect the lighter nectar within, the toe is transparent while the rest is midnight blue as opposed to the pure blackness of Good Girl as well as to reflect the transition from day to night and from good to bad!

The seductive and radiant scent is described as a floral oriental and its notes are constructed around the DNA of Good Girl.

Lighter and softer than the original scent, GOOD GIRL Légère opens with top notes of zesty and fresh Tangerine before heart notes of Ylang Ylang and familiar Jasmine Sambac offer a soft and appealing bouquet.

Creamy and seductive Tonka Bean and woody sandalwood return and are combined with the velvety and sweet aroma of Dulce de Leche to leave a fragrance that is sophisticated, addictive and utterly exquisite.

The Tangerine note definitely helps to lift the scent making it lighter and in a way, more playful while the addition of Dulce de Leche offers a sensual and sweet element.

Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl Légère is just an absolutely beautiful scent that easily equals its original in appeal, quality and sensuality and is available now from The Perfume Shop and costs £74 for 50ml.

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel-Cream

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel-Cream is here to change your night time routine forever.

This sound sleep cocoon (doesn’t that sound cool!) has been specially formulated to deliver active ingredients to hydrate, brighten and revitalize throughout the night when your skin is best able to use them.

Housed in the cutest little pot, it has a swivel non-removable lid that when pressed dispenses the gel from a small opening at the front of the pot.

The first thing you’ll notice about this gel is its beautiful aroma.

This super clever treatment contains encapsulated, motion-activated French Lavender Essential Oil with Sandalwood and Patchouli which smells so relaxing and divine but it is actually there to help promote a deep, restful sleep which in turn will allow your skin to best utilise the ingredients within the gel!

The gel-cream contains Tamarind Seed Extract which creates a nourishing cocoon of comfort for softer, more hydrated skin.

Other key ingredients include Persian Silk Tree Extract which reduces the signs of skin fatigue and restores vitality (I could do with this in the bucket load) while Wu-Zhu-Yu Extract provides visibly radiant skin by the morning.

The gel-cream itself (apart from smelling like a spa) is surprisingly light in texture given that its being used as a night time treatment.

Quickly absorbed into your skin your face instantly feels fresher and softer and in fact you can layer it over your preferred moisturizer to further enhance overnight hydration.

Dermalogica’s Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel-Cream is available now and costs £72.50 for 50ml.

New Decleor Rose D'Orient Bath and Shower Gel

Decleor have just launched a beautiful new trio of bath and shower gels.

Let your troubles melt away and choose from three stunning scents; energising Neroli, relaxing Lavender or soothing Rose.

Featuring 98% natural origin these decadent gels gently cleanse your skin while leaving your body and soul feeling soothed and calm.

Harnessing the power of Essential Oils they provide a unique, sensorial experience to your daily routine and the 97% natural formulation is suitable for sensitive skins thanks to its PH Neutral base.

Yay for me and my sore skin!

I absolutely love the Rose D'Orient soothing gel which sits like liquid gold waiting to be used in an elegant, tall bottle.

It can be used to create a frothy, relaxing bubble bath or a foamy shower experience but either way the experience is delightful.

The rose scent isn’t at all over powering, it is soft, subtle and you can definitely detect a hint of the additional essential oils contained within.

Rich and decadent it produces thick, frothy, relaxing bubbles in the bath and a gentle abundance of cleansing foam in the shower.

I’m not a huge fan of Rose as a scent ordinarily, but there’s something about Rose D’Orient that I just cant put my finger on but leaves me excited for my next shower or bathing experience!

Decleor’s new range of Bath and Shower Gels including Rose D’Orient are available on and at salons and spas nationwide now and cost £18.00.
