St Ives Apricot Scrubs

St Ives Apricot Scrubs are a force to be reckoned with.

This multi-award winning product is oil free, non irritating, contains 100% natural extracts and exfoliants and it’s available in several different varieties making it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin.

I’m cursed with what seems to be several different skin types.

I often have an oily t-zone and I sometimes break out in spots. My skin can occasionally react to products which bring me out in a rash and I’ve also been known to suffer with eczema.

Total ‘mare eh....

Thankfully one thing my skin loves 100% of the time are St Ives Apricot Scrubs.

Each variation of the product is enriched with antioxidant rich apricots and the cream smells deliciously fruity and fresh.

The ground walnut shells work as fab, all natural exfoliators which get to work to gently cleanse your skin, removes dead skin cells and leave your face feeling refreshed, soft and nourished.

When my skin is feeling troublesome and delicate i use the Gentle Scrub for Sensitive Skin RRP(£3.99). It’s an extra mild formula which doesn’t aggravate your skin.

When im suffering with dreaded pimples, its over to the Blemish Fighting scrub RRP(£3.99), which is courser scrub to help lift away surface oils and dirt that lead to blocked pores and spots.

To use, moisten your face with water and dispense a small amount of the product onto the tips of your fingers and gently massage all over your face.

Rinse with warm water and voila; Smooth, silky, freshly polished skin is yours to enjoy.

The St Ives range of scrubs and products are available from Boots now where you can currently save 1/3 off them, so stock up quickly!

Rihanna: Get The Look

This weekend saw Rude Girl Rihanna take to the stage at the Hackney Weekend Festival, and guess what make up brand RiRi decided to wear?

That’s right, one of my faves, bareMinerals!

RiRi looked stunning in a fierce cheetah t-shirt, short black shorts, Jonathan Aston Fish Net Shorts and finished her look with a leather biker jacket dripping in gold to match her chunky necklace and earrings.

The finishing touch was her gorgeous lippie in bareMinerals shade Red Velvet (£14).

Hiding behind her ‘distinctive’ glasses were her perfectly lined eyes in Round the Clock Liner Pencil in Midnight (£13)

Her lashes were treated to bareMinerals Definition Volumising Mascara (£16) and a hint of shadow was used in shade Queen Tiffany (£14)

Her flawless complexion was created with bareMinerals SPF15 Original Foundation in shade Golden Tan (£24), which was applied after using their Prime Time Foundation primer (£19).

bareMinerals Warmth (£19) was used to contour and a hint of READY™ Blush in Aphrodisiac (£22) gave a hint of pink to her cheeks.

Garnier B.B. Miracle Skin Perfector Cream For Combination To Oily Skin

Last summer i brought you a review of Garnier’s BB cream.

I was hugely disappointed with the product as I found it too heavy and  greasy for my combination to oily skin.

Fast forward a year and Garnier have finally answered my prayers by bring out a BB cream for Combination/Oily skin.

Unlike their original product, this ultra-absorbent cream helps fights excess sebum throughout the day while offering the same benefits as their regular BB Cream such as evening out skin tone, blurring pores and concealing imperfections.

As soon as I felt the texture of this cream I knew it was going to be a winner.

It felt much lighter than their other cream and far less greasy.

On application the cream melted into my skin quickly, leaving me with a gorgeous, matte complexion.

I found that compared to some other BB creams, this bad boy offered a tad more coverage too which I loved, and I didn’t end up needing to cake my face in powder to banish any unattractive shine.

Available in shades Light and Medium, this B.B. Miracle Skin Perfector offers you beautifully smooth, matte skin while protecting you from harmful UV rays with it’s SPF  20.

Garnier’s B.B. Miracle Skin Perfector Combination to Oily Skin is available now and retails for £9.99.

Blake Lively Announced As Face Of New Gucci Fragrance

Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively has been announced today as the face of Gucci's new fragrance, Gucci Première.

This will be Blake’s first fragrance campaign and she says;

Gucci is a staple. It is a brand i have always looked up to because to me it represents strength, in their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically and especially in their fragrance. I couldn’t be more proud to be working with Gucci.

Set to launch exclusively at Selfridges on July 5, the scent takes inspiration from Hollywood glamour and the iconic women of Hollywood's golden era.

Think Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Lauren Bacall & Elizabeth Taylor

Rolling out at Harrods on July 11, the fragrance will be available nationwide from July 25.

I don’t have any campaign piccies for you as yet but you’ll be one of the first to see them when i do!

Natio Lip Butter & Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

This week I’ve been loving two products in particular.

With the weather seemingly unable to make its mind up, my skin has been battered with cold and rain then baked and burnt by the warm sun and humidity.

It’s hard to know which products to use when you’re never sure what your going to face when you step out the front door, but these two products have served me well!

Natio Mineral Lip Butter in LOVING

This gorgeous little pot offers just the right amount of pigment and moisturising benefits without being either too cakey or too oily.

Infused with pure mineral pigments, the two in one butter has a revitalising hint of peppermint to gently invigorate your lips while the extracts of Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Vitamin E ensure your lips are soft and nourished.

Natio Mineral Lip Butter in LOVING

I love this as in summer, lippie tends to dry my lips out and some lip balms can end up melting off my lips and dribbling down my chin.

Attractive

Natio Mineral Lip Butter in LOVING

This little gem ensures that I’m left with a pretty, sheer, natural colour and  silky, soft, smooth lips.

AND it's only £7!

Winner

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder
I have combination/oily skin so tend find myself with an oil slick on my face just a few hours after freshly applying my make up.

Never is this worse than in summer when the hot, humid weather seems to call out to my pores, enticing them to produce more oil which leaves me looking a greasy mess.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

In the past I’ve simply applied more powder to hide the shine, but this ends up adding more colour to my very naturally pale skin and i end up looking orange by the end of the day.

No more

Say hello to Daniel Sandler's  Invisible Blotting Powder.  This does what it says on the tin.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

The product  is an invisible (translucent)  powder which banishes shine without altering the shade of your foundation.

The shine- free, technologically advanced formula doesn’t  cake or dry out your skin, it simply leaves you with a gorgeous, matte complexion.
If you look closely, you can just see the light, transparent powder on the skin (NOTE: I've swatched this and added more than usual so you can see the powder)

If you have oily skin, this product will change your life. Trust me!

So, have any of you used either of these products? What do you think of them?
