Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle

Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle is the newest fragrance launch from cult brand Lacoste.

Following on from the launch last year of their signature fragrance for women, Eau de Lacoste,Lacoste, Sensuelle is as you would expect from the name, a far more sensual  and seductive smelling fragrance.

Lacoste Sensuelle was designed to draw out your sensual side, recreating the feeling of the evolution from a sunny day to a cool and refreshing evening.

It makes a lovely evening fragrance, but a summer night time fragrance rather than a winter one in that it is warm and feminine, without being heady, overpowering or too dark and deep.

It is delicate, seductive and musky but it’s also very light, which makes for a really beautifully mix.

It’s one of those fragrances that smells even better the longer it’s worn on your skin.

The fragrance opens with pink pepper, fig and tart blackcurrrent before notes of Turkish rose, sweet pea and Gladiolus Inflexus follow and blend deliciously with patchouli, Nougatine accord and rich, warm amber to create a comforting and unique fragrance.

Even the bottle continues to reflects the idea of the fragrance taking you from day to night, with its simple and chic design and dusky sky colour.

It is the perfect spring and summertime evening fragrance, and I’m now a big fan!

Natio Lip Butter & Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

This week I’ve been loving two products in particular.

With the weather seemingly unable to make its mind up, my skin has been battered with cold and rain then baked and burnt by the warm sun and humidity.

It’s hard to know which products to use when you’re never sure what your going to face when you step out the front door, but these two products have served me well!

Natio Mineral Lip Butter in LOVING

This gorgeous little pot offers just the right amount of pigment and moisturising benefits without being either too cakey or too oily.

Infused with pure mineral pigments, the two in one butter has a revitalising hint of peppermint to gently invigorate your lips while the extracts of Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Vitamin E ensure your lips are soft and nourished.

Natio Mineral Lip Butter in LOVING

I love this as in summer, lippie tends to dry my lips out and some lip balms can end up melting off my lips and dribbling down my chin.

Attractive

This little gem ensures that I’m left with a pretty, sheer, natural colour and  silky, soft, smooth lips.

AND it's only £7!

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder
I have combination/oily skin so tend find myself with an oil slick on my face just a few hours after freshly applying my make up.

Never is this worse than in summer when the hot, humid weather seems to call out to my pores, enticing them to produce more oil which leaves me looking a greasy mess.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

In the past I’ve simply applied more powder to hide the shine, but this ends up adding more colour to my very naturally pale skin and i end up looking orange by the end of the day.

No more

Say hello to Daniel Sandler's  Invisible Blotting Powder.  This does what it says on the tin.

Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder

The product  is an invisible (translucent)  powder which banishes shine without altering the shade of your foundation.

The shine- free, technologically advanced formula doesn’t  cake or dry out your skin, it simply leaves you with a gorgeous, matte complexion.
If you look closely, you can just see the light, transparent powder on the skin (NOTE: I've swatched this and added more than usual so you can see the powder)

If you have oily skin, this product will change your life. Trust me!

So, have any of you used either of these products? What do you think of them?

Beach Bound Brits Beauty Habits

New research released today reveals that nearly half of Brits would rather stay at home than go on a beach holiday without thorough preparation to ensure they were body beautiful.

The survey, commissioned by TV and online retailer QVC to celebrate its June Beauty Month, quizzed 2,000 British adults on their summer beauty habits and revealed that they spend up to three working days preparing their bodies for a beach holiday and that nearly half of women wouldn't step onto the beach without wearing make-up.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my make up, but I’d never wear it on a beach! No sooner than i put it on  it would melt off!
Some of the pre-holiday beauty treatments that Brits confessed to investing in to ensure they look their best on the beach include getting a haircut, having a wax and giving themselves a cute mani and pedi.

Others ensure that they have luscious lashes by getting them tinted and having extensions, while others chose to invest in a personal trainer!

Whilst 71 per cent of women admitted to making an effort in preparation for a holiday to keep themselves happy, 37 per cent confessed that it was to impress their partners whilst they were away.

It’s easy to see how women can be influenced into thinking there is a certain way one should look while on the beach.

You only have to open up any woman’s magazine to see a photos of a plethora of celebs enjoying their beach holidays, looking stunning in an array of gorgeous bikinis, but which celebs do the British public think look best on the beach?

Ranked number one is Kelly Brook followed by Elle-the-body-McPherson.

Louise Redknapp and Kim Kardashian are ranked third and fourth, with Colleen Rooney and Liz Hurley coming in fifth and sixth.

Personally, Kim K does it for me.

Think what you like about her, but id give my right (and probably my left) arm to have her figure!

So, what do you think? Do you spend longer than 3 days preparing yourself  for your beach holiday?  Which celeb do you think rocks the best beach look?

Varnish yourself Pretty!

Nail varnish is brilliant for a multitude of different reasons, not least because it allows you to chop and change the colour as often as you like to suit your mood, an occasion or even to reflect the seasons.
With that in mind I wanted to tell you about two brand new varnish releases perfect for the upcoming summer months which you wont want to miss out on.

First is Nails Inc Candy Shop Collection, a set of 4 beautiful new pastel colours inspired by the SS11 catwalk shows and named Wimbledon, Cambridge, Oxford and Richmond. The colours are the perfect way to instantly update your look and channel the world of Haut Couture, but on a shoe string budget of either £25 for the set or £11 per polish. The Collection Launches in July 2011.

The second Varnish product is Revlons new Scents of Summer collection. They have launched a gorgeous collection of nail enamel infused with a variety of different ‘summer’ themed scents such as Peach, Coconut, Mango and Papaya. As if nail varnishes couldn’t get any better they now smell amazing too! This idea of scented products takes me back to my school days when scented pens first came out and it was a race to see who could collect the most amounts of different fragrances first! They sure did make your homework smell great, and as these varnishes are only available for a limited time until August 2011, I suggest that you grab and collect them all now before they go!
