Origins have expanded their hugely popular GinZing collection with the launch of their new GinZing Glow Boosting Mask.
This beautifully vibrant, orange, ombre recyclable jar houses an exceptionally clever formula designed to soften, hydrate, brighten and create a truly radiant looking complexion both instantly and over time.
Suitable for all skin types and boasting a 93% naturally derived formula, the first element that strikes you upon removing the lid is its soft, comforting scent.
Featuring an essential oil blend of orange, grapefruit, lemon and spearmint, it offers a wonderfully calming yet invigorating aromatic experience to gently awakens the senses.
The next thing you’ll notice is that suspended within the creamy, soft peach mask are a plethora of tiny little terracotta coloured orbs.
These ‘orbs’ are one of the many elements designed to impart a natural looking radiance to your complexion and are in fact snap encapsulates of naturally derived mineral illuminators which activate when the mask is gently massaged onto your skin creating an instant lift, brightening a dull complexion and boosting radiance.
The encapsulates are just one part of a ‘3-Glow Complex’ within the formula, with two types of naturally derived Vitamin C plus bolstering your skin from the inside out.
A naturally derived “free form” Vitamin C is released onto your skin upon application which helps to provide long-term brightening alongside the instant illumination.
Also present is a Proprietary Veggie-Liposome Vitamin C. This naturally derived Vitamin C is contained within a liposome, a microscopic technology that helps deliver vitamin C to your skin.
Once applied, the liposome allows for a targeted delivery of Vitamin C within skin’s surface.
In addition to the brightening effects of Vitamin C there’s also a fancy element known as Vital-Synthesis TechnologyTM.
Basically, this is a blend of caffeine from coffee beans and Panax Ginseng which help to naturally energise your skin, refreshing and recharging for a brighter, healthier complexion.
Finally we have high molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
Renowned for its incredible hydrating properties and ability to retain moisture, it acts like a sponge drawing moisture to your skin leaving it feeling soft, smooth and plump throughout the day.
Now I’ll admit, I was somewhat confused when I first used this product on account of its name and directions for use.
Unlike a traditional mask which you would apply to freshly cleansed skin, leave on for a period of time then wash off, this mask appears to be one that you leave on, as you would a moisturiser.
I applied a thin layer of the lightweight gel mask to my face before gently massing in. This massage movement causes the encapsulates to release their mineral optics, creating a subtle illumination which mingles with the rest of the mask before being absorbed by your skin.
Now if like me you have oily/combination skin you’re going to want to skip your regular moisturser because this mask offers superior hydration which leaves your skin feeling silky soft and comfortable, but if you’re more on the drier side then by all means crack on with your moisturiser too.
This mask provides a fabulous multi-sensorial experience thanks to its refreshing, soft fruity notes and silky soft texture.
The addition of micro illuminators is brilliant too as it creates an instant yet super subtle lift to dull complexions while its other hard-working ingredients get to work perfecting and brightening with every application.
It’s a massive thumbs up from me for this mask. I’ve even noticed that areas of hyperpigmentation and acne scars appear to have reduced in their appearance which quite frankly, I’m thrilled by.
Origins GinZing Glow Boosting Mask is available now and costs £33.
