FRUU Cosmetics

My name is Sarah and I’m a lip balm addict.

My addiction is so extreme that I’ve passed this vice onto my two children who also absolutely love a lip balm too!

Doh!

Clearly, there are way worse things to be addicted to but even lip balms can be un-sustainable and harmful to the environment.

This is where my new favourite brand comes in!

FRUU is an Indie cosmetics company who are obsessed with turning fruit waste and by products into earth friendly, vegan skin products.

Their products are made up of ingredients extracted and derived from more than 15 different types of nutrient rich fruits. In fact, they’re create with more than 60% fruit content!

100% bio-degradable and organic, the majority of the ingredients are produced as a by-product of processed fruit waste which would otherwise be discarded, resulting in vital extra revenue for small fruit farmers.

FRUU believe that “If you can't afford to buy it, it is not sustainable!", so they strive to use the most responsibly-sourced ingredients possible to offer guilt-free, sustainable living at an affordable price point.

No Bee products and no petroleum feature in their products and their Fruitilicious Lip Balms (£3) are simply out of this world.

Available in 10 mouth-watering scents, these wonderfully cute little sticks of pure joy smell good enough to eat!

Whatever you adore sweet, sugary scents or refreshing citrus notes there’s a balm for you!

The collection comprises of the following balms;

Avocado
Strawberry
Pomegranate
Watermelon
Pineapple
Lemon
Lime
Cherry
Coconut
Mango

As you know I’m all about the sweet so I gravitated towards the Pineapple and Watermelon balm instantly!

Each balm is formulated with very similar natural, fruity skin loving ingredients including Aloe Vera to calm and hydrate and Vitamin E to combat free radicals and pollutants.

Allergen free and suitable for sensitive skin, each balm creates a soft, matte finish paired with a silky smooth, buttery texture.

Deeply nourishing yet non greasy or claggy, the balm glides across your lips imparting a splash of fruity hydration to dry, parched lips.

Lightweight yet with decent longevity, lips are left feeling soft and comforted long after application while you also get treated to a deliciously fresh and fruity sensory experience.

I love the tropical and exotic, true-to-life scents that they offer and my children do too- my son is a big fan of the Cherry balm which contains enriching cherry kernel oil and coconut oil.

Pineapple is one of my favourite go-to balms and contains Pineapple to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin, while the refreshing Watermelon balm contains luscious and nourishing Watermelon seed oil and coconut oil.

Fabulous and Fruity balms aren’t all they have to offer, they also produce tinted balms in the form of their Colour Balm (£5).

Available in 8 pretty, wearable shades these balms bridge the gap between drying lipsticks and soothing balms.

Like the Fruitilicious balms these beauties feature a matte finish, paired with a hit of colour.

Enriched with nourishing watermelon and coconut oil along with soothing aloe and banana extract,  these delicious balms offer a rich colour payoff combined with all the moisturising properties of a balm so you can enjoy a highly pigmented lip that feels comfortable all day long.

Peta approved, vegan and cruelty-free and containing no carmine, lanolin or beeswax, these balms are something else.

They’re something very special.

Discover FRUU Cosmetics for yourself now and treat yourself to what will undoubtedly be your new favourite lip balm over on their website or in store at Holland & Barrett.
