Your eyes have long
been said to be the windows to your soul, so with this in mind it’s important
to take care of them.
The skin around your
eye area is thinner and more delicate than the rest of the skin on your face so
it requires a little extra TLC when it comes to your skincare regime.
My current favourite
product to bring out the best in my eyes is this beautiful product from Temple
Spa.
Aptly named Windows
of the Soul (£30) is a daily
anti-ageing eye treatment to help with the appearance of dark circles and
puffiness while hydrating, soothing and brightening your delicate eye area.
Suitable for all skin
types, this lightweight yet exceptionally rich, cooling cream instantly revives
tired eyes while flooding your eye area with an array of skin quenching,
soothing ingredients.
Its revolutionary
formula offers the benefits of both a cream and a gel in one.
The light gel texture
cools and revives tired skin, lifting and reducing puffiness while the
luxurious creamy element replaces lost moisture, smoothing fine lines and
restoring radiance.
The opulent formula contains
antioxidant rich Vitamin E to help protect against environmental skin
aggressors and softens and replenishes dehydrated skin.
Eyebright (a natural astringent and toner) refreshes
and calms, helping your skin appear tightened and smooth while its
anti-inflammatory properties aid with reducing puffiness and redness.
Another important ingredient
is something called Edelweiss.
I know, I thought
this was just a song from The Sound Of Music too!
Edelweiss is ALSO a
mountain flower which possesses anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe and
calm irritated skin.
It works to nourish
and moisturise your skin, protecting it from inflammation and cell damage resulting
in a smoother, more radiant complexion.
It also contains high
quality anti-ageing elements which can help speed up the skin renewal process
as well as promoting collagen production to plump the skin, reducing the
appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I cannot get enough
of the texture of this product.
Lightweight and non-greasy,
it is exceptionally hydrating, more so than any other eye gel or cream I’ve
used before.
Silky smooth like
velvet, it glides across your skin, nourishing and calming as it goes,
instantly quenching dry skin and relieving the sensation of tired eyes.
Super long lasting,
this comforting sensation lasts long after the initial application and leaves
your skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth.
I find myself
applying a more generous amount of a night time and come morning my eye area
feels incredibly soft and hydrated, which I’ve found actually helps with my
make-up application.
Where my skin around
my eyes is plumped and nourished, my concealer applies like a dream and doesn’t
seem to sit within the fine lines and creases quite as much, resulting in a
younger, brighter overall appearance.
I am seriously
impressed with this product. I’ve tried a LOT of eye products, some good, some
not so good and this is absolutely up there with the best!
