Burts Bees Christmas Gifts

Burts Bees have a beautiful collection of festive gifts this Christmas.

From cult classics to exclusive limited-edition lip and body products, there something for every budget and taste, plus you can sit safe in the knowledge that everything has been responsibly sourced and sustainably made using recycled card and eco-friendly vegetable ink, even the ties on the hanging gifts can be re-used as hairbands!

Burts Bees is a firm fave in my house between me and my children, we all love a lip balm!

Their balms are affordable, compact and wonderfully rich and comforting when you have sore, chapped lips.

My top three picks each come in at under £20, with the first set costing less than £10!

This wonderfully festive looking cracker is the Bit of Burt’s Bees Christmas Cracker (£9.50).

This cute, compact cracker houses two Burts Bees hero products and comes with a reusable hair tie, making it ready to gift or hang on a tree!

It contains a  one of their Hydrating Lip Balms which has been enriched with responsibly sourced Beeswax to deeply condition your lips while antioxidant-rich Vitamin E and nourishing Shea Butter moisturise and soften dry, chapped lips.

Meanwhile you’ll also find their iconic multi-purpose Mini Hand Salve Tin.

Formulated with botanical oils, sweet almond oil, herbs and of course, beeswax this intensive treatment instantly relieves very dry hands but can also be used on dry cuticles, elbows, knees, feet, anywhere that is in need of a little TBC to be honest!

Another set, which will undoubtedly be being stolen by my daughter is their Kissable Colour set (£11.99).

The only thing better than a brilliant lip balm? A TINTED lip balm, and here you’ll find three.

Enriched with shea butter, beeswax, and antioxidant-rich natural oils, these 100% natural origin balms deeply moisturise your lips  leaving behind a hint of colour and subtle shimmer to bring life back to your lips.

 The three beautiful, wearable shades are;

Peony: A pale, beige mauve

Rhubarb: A bright, cool, pinky red

Fig: A warm, reddy brown with hints of coral

Finally we have the ultimate lipcare set, appropriately named Lip Passion (£15.99).

Perfect for hardcore lip care lovers like myself, this fab little set comprises of three products for an easy 3 step routine for the softest pout ever.

First you’ll find a wonderfully fresh and fruity passion fruit lip balm to delight your senses as you apply!

Then there’s the delightful hydrating lip oil, featuring all the hydrating goodness of a balm paired with the sheen and shine of a gloss.

The set is then completed with the inclusion of an intensive overnight treatment.

The pale pink overnight treatment contains a ceramide-rich formula to deeply repair and replenish your lips while you sleep and is a product you will always find on my bedside table!

Pop a generous dollop on at bedtime and wake to smooth, soft lips.

Beautifully presented and brilliantly priced, each set would make a great stocking filler or token gift for a loved one, because quite frankly you can never have too many lip balms!

FRUU Cosmetics

My name is Sarah and I’m a lip balm addict.

My addiction is so extreme that I’ve passed this vice onto my two children who also absolutely love a lip balm too!

Doh!

Clearly, there are way worse things to be addicted to but even lip balms can be un-sustainable and harmful to the environment.

This is where my new favourite brand comes in!

FRUU is an Indie cosmetics company who are obsessed with turning fruit waste and by products into earth friendly, vegan skin products.

Their products are made up of ingredients extracted and derived from more than 15 different types of nutrient rich fruits. In fact, they’re create with more than 60% fruit content!

100% bio-degradable and organic, the majority of the ingredients are produced as a by-product of processed fruit waste which would otherwise be discarded, resulting in vital extra revenue for small fruit farmers.

FRUU believe that “If you can't afford to buy it, it is not sustainable!", so they strive to use the most responsibly-sourced ingredients possible to offer guilt-free, sustainable living at an affordable price point.

No Bee products and no petroleum feature in their products and their Fruitilicious Lip Balms (£3) are simply out of this world.

Available in 10 mouth-watering scents, these wonderfully cute little sticks of pure joy smell good enough to eat!

Whatever you adore sweet, sugary scents or refreshing citrus notes there’s a balm for you!

The collection comprises of the following balms;

Avocado
Strawberry
Pomegranate
Watermelon
Pineapple
Lemon
Lime
Cherry
Coconut
Mango

As you know I’m all about the sweet so I gravitated towards the Pineapple and Watermelon balm instantly!

Each balm is formulated with very similar natural, fruity skin loving ingredients including Aloe Vera to calm and hydrate and Vitamin E to combat free radicals and pollutants.

Allergen free and suitable for sensitive skin, each balm creates a soft, matte finish paired with a silky smooth, buttery texture.

Deeply nourishing yet non greasy or claggy, the balm glides across your lips imparting a splash of fruity hydration to dry, parched lips.

Lightweight yet with decent longevity, lips are left feeling soft and comforted long after application while you also get treated to a deliciously fresh and fruity sensory experience.

I love the tropical and exotic, true-to-life scents that they offer and my children do too- my son is a big fan of the Cherry balm which contains enriching cherry kernel oil and coconut oil.

Pineapple is one of my favourite go-to balms and contains Pineapple to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin, while the refreshing Watermelon balm contains luscious and nourishing Watermelon seed oil and coconut oil.

Fabulous and Fruity balms aren’t all they have to offer, they also produce tinted balms in the form of their Colour Balm (£5).

Available in 8 pretty, wearable shades these balms bridge the gap between drying lipsticks and soothing balms.

Like the Fruitilicious balms these beauties feature a matte finish, paired with a hit of colour.

Enriched with nourishing watermelon and coconut oil along with soothing aloe and banana extract,  these delicious balms offer a rich colour payoff combined with all the moisturising properties of a balm so you can enjoy a highly pigmented lip that feels comfortable all day long.

Peta approved, vegan and cruelty-free and containing no carmine, lanolin or beeswax, these balms are something else.

They’re something very special.
