balance Me have just launched their new Shine on Tinted Lip Salves, and you know me,
always on the hunt for a fab lip product, got my hands on one of them as soon
as I could!
The lip
salves are balance Me’s first foray into colour, and with them they have
created an ultra-glossy, smoothing tinted lip salve which is designed to
hydrate, protect and smooth with anti oxidants.
The collection
comprises of three, 100% natural lip salves, which I would actually categorise
as more like a gloss than a salve.
Available in
four shades, Rose blush, Nude and Ruby Red and sheer Raspberry, I decided to
try Rose Blush.
I love the
idea that this salve contains 100% natural ingredients and included the fab
ingredients coco butter, shea butter and mango seed butter to help keep your
lips plump and hydrated throughout the day.
I love the
smell, which is delicately fruity and not overpowering.
I like that the tints within the four shades
have been formulated with natural mineral make up, giving bold colours but with
natural pigment.
I did not
however, love the fact that the salve was really glittery.
I’m not a
fan of glittery make up, and for me this product had just a touch too much
twinkle for my liking. Whether this is due to the mineral pigment in it, I’m
not sure, but because of this I think it would be a salve that I personally
would use on a night out rather than during the day.
A bit of
sparkle, especially during the party season is fine, but for me, it would be
too much for every day use.
Sparkle
aside, (and if you like sparkle, then you’re
onto a winner!) this lip salve is really lovely.
It’s light,
hydrating and it certainly did what it promised and left my lips feeling soft
and hydrated.
balance Me’s four Shine on Tinted Lip Salves are available now and cost £12 each.
I have the one that came with a magazine a few months ago, I think it may have been Glamour magazine? I love most of balance Me's products but I have to admit I was disappointed with this. I found it kind of thin, it appeared to just disappear into my lips really quickly and I also really wasn't a fan of the glitter in it either. I'm glad I got the free one as I would have grabbed one of these when they were released and I'd have been disappointed with it x
