Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Eye Gel

As I get closer and closer to approaching the big 3-0 I find myself becoming more and obsessed with turning back to clock, or at least pausing it for a time.

I’m pretty lucky in that so far (touch wood) my skin is holding up pretty alright, but the skin around my eyes is another matter altogether.

My crows feet are the bain of my life and my quest to find a product to help improve them led me to Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Future Eye Gel.

Powered by ceramide, this gel is designed to fight the first signs of ageing, instantly brighten and fight the signs of stress and fatigue around the eyes.

Pretty much what I’m looking for then!

The product itself is within a really pretty, pearlescent tube and is dispensed via something called an ophthalmic tip (you learn something new every day).

Mirroring the shimmer of the tube, the gel itself also possesses an extremely subtle, pearly- iridescent sheen, almost impossible to capture on camera but I promise it is!

The gel creates a soothing sensation when applied to the skin and gives the feeling of instant tightening around the eye area.

It is absorbed into the skin almost instantly leaving no trace at all.

Now, I’ve been using this for several months and while I haven’t noticed a HUGE change in the fine lines and crows feet around my eyes, I would say that it really has helped with the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, especially in the mornings.

The fact that it cools the skin on application and dries so quickly leaving the skin feeling firm gives your eyes and instant pick up and leaves you looking less tired.

Can it make you look bright eyed and busy tailed after being up all night looking after a toddler that doesn’t want to sleep? No, its not a miracle worker.

Can it help you to combat the physical signs of going through said event? Definitely.

Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Future Eye Gel is available now and costs £35.
