Electric Hair Serum

In my opinion, your hair can never be too shiny, soft or silky.

It just can’t. That’s probably why my hair product draw is busting at the seams and right at the top of that draw is Electric’s hair Serum.

Designed to smooth down flyaway hair and leave split ends looking healthy and shiny, this light, non oily serum is my go-to product time after time.

I tend to only use serums on wet hair before I blow dry due to the fact that my hair is prone to greasiness and can look a bit lank with too much product, however this bad boy is for use on dry hair.

The ‘How to use’ tip suggests using 2 drops of the serum, but I personally found this to be far too much for my hair.

One drop was sufficient and I rubbed the product between my hands, leaving a very fine film, then smoothed it over the length of my hair gently.

It smells gorgeous and fresh, just like clean, freshly washed hair. It finishes your look perfectly by adding diamond shine to your locks without creating any heaviness which may weigh it down.

You can grab your shiny hair in a bottle aka Electric Serum from their website where it costs £17.

Superdrug's Cafe de Bain Range

If you haven’t come across this range in Superdrug, you can thank me now for introducing you.

Cafe de Bain is a super sweet range of bubble baths and shower gels in the most delicious and delectable scents.

Cherry & Almond

Sweet Vanilla Madeleine

Coconut Macaroon

Raspberry & Rose

Each variety is available in both a rich bath crème and shower gel and I can confirm that they smell as good as they sound.

Cherry and Almond is a particular favourite of mine; It smells like a rich, scrummy bakewell tart!

Sweet Vanilla Madeleine reminds me of a soft, moreish vanilla cake, totally edible!

If those two sound a bit too sweet for your liking, Coconut Macaroon offers a lighter, less heady scent while Raspberry and Rose is the perfect fruity/floral combination.

The Bath and shower crèmes cost £2.99 each so you can enjoy trying them all without breaking the bank.

I reckon they may already have a bit of a cult following, certainly in Essex, as I always struggle to find more than one or two bottles of each variety left in my Superdrug and a lot of the time, they’re sold out entirely!

Ariana Grande to Launch Debut Fragrance

Popstar and part time diva (allegedly!) Ariana Grande is the latest celeb to announce that they’ll be launching their own fragrance.

Due for release this September, Ariana says;

My fans have been asking me to do a fragrance for a while so I am beyond excited to share this with them, to be able to express my creativity in this new way, and also incredibly grateful to have partnered with LUXE Brands

Maybe I’ve been living in a hole or something, but hasn’t she only had like 3 songs out?  There was me thinking that stars had to climb their way up the ladder before reaching the dizzying heights of fragrance launches, but it seems that even newcomers are giving it a go these days.

Did this news surprise you, or am I totally in the dark ages and have missed her epic rise to super stardom?

Indeed Labs Facial Powdered Exfoliator

Indeed Labs Facial Powdered Exfoliator is a brilliant product.

It’s the kind of exfoliator that is perfect for delicate skin like mine, which doesn’t react well to harsh, abrasive products.

This water activated enzyme micro-powder gently exfoliates to leave your skin feeling soft and polished. You’d never know to look at it, but this wonder powder is packed full of some seriously powerful skincare ingredients designed to brighten your skin and restore its natural radiance.

Bamboo Extract: This super fine exfoliant is extremely gentle on skin but is effective thanks to it being rich in silica, an essential element known for its acne and wrinkle fighting properties.

Rice bran powder: It gently exfoliates and is said to help prevent wrinkles, heal blemishes and absorb dirt and oil from pores as well as moisturize your skin.

Okinawa red algae: Red algae is a vital source of Beterhelin, a natural polysaccharide that promotes the skin’s barrier function and enhances moisture retention, along with free radical-scavenging properties, a key element for skin exposed to damaging sun rays.
Hyaluronic acid A natural substance y that helps to hydrate skin and stimulate production of collagen.

Bromelain These enzymes are essential to maintain good health and skin.  Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes found naturally in the juice and stems of pineapples.  Bromelain used in skin care treatments is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and is very effective in gently removing dead cells by chemical exfoliation, on the surface of the skin. Enzymatic activity destroys the keratin of dead cells and debris, allowing skin to breathe.

Well I’m very impressed indeed.

The powder is scentless and transforms into a gentle foam when it mixes with water. I like the consistency to be really foamy to ensure a super gentle cleanse. You can’t even feel the powder exfoliating your skin, unlike other grainier exfoliators.

It feels like a frothy cleanser and rinses off to leave your skin feeling soft and supple, without a hint of dryness.

My one pet peeve is the size of the dispenser hole, which I thought was pretty huge.

I’m fairly heavy handed so every time I went to dispense some product I ended up with enough to exfoliate my whole body in my hand, but to be fair, that’s not really much of a criticism and is almost certainly down to my big old heavy man hands!

Indeed Labs Facial Powdered Exfoliator is available now from Boots and costs £18.99.
