The Body Shop is the latest company to cotton on to the benefits of mineral make up and this September sees the launch of their Extra Virgin Minerals collection.
The range consists of a Cream Compact Foundation with SPF15 (£16), a Liquid Foundation with SPF30 (£14) and a Loose Powder Foundation with SPF25 (£15).
The range is the first mineral make-up collection from The Body Shop to feature a combination of 100% community Fair Trade pure cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil and ultra fine mineral pigments.
I tested out their liquid foundation and loose powder foundation.
As i have greasy skin, my preferred foundation is usually powder- that said, the liquid foundation was very pleasant. It was lovely and light and provided good coverage without being too thick in consistency.
As suspected, it was the powder foundation that was a real winner for me.
Deliciously light and silky but capable of providing good enough coverage in areas which required it by layering it on with your brush.
In all, their combination of SPF, minerals, fragrance and paraben free ingredients make the foundations a great all round buy, and the fact that they are suitable for sensitive skin makes them an even bigger winner.
You can buy the foundations from The Body Shop website here.
Im a huge body shop fan- cant wait to try these out- havent seen them blogged about much so thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've heard of these products! I've never been in the body shop for years, It's nice to see that they are keeping up with current trends, they do sound really great!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fab, do they have a good selection of shades? I hate getting colour matched in body shop though, the first foundation I ever brought was from there and it ended up in the bin because it was too dark so I haven’t brought their makeup since
ReplyDeleteloving your blog lovely :) xxx

there's another foundation to add to my list. The Liquid foundations looks good, is it comparable to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in it's light weight feel? x
ReplyDeleteI have the Cream foundation and the Loose Powder foundation and I like them both very much. I think when I'm low on these two I'm going to try the liquid foundation next but I'd definitely repurchase this range, although a bit pricey they quality is worth it :)
