TOWIE's Lauren Goodger Talks Tanning

It has been revealed today that TOWIE's Lauren Goodger is set to leave the show that launched her career.

Oh Shut Up!

Lauren and the original TOWIE cast members

But there's more!

It's been rumoured that Lauren is planning to join the next series of Dancing On Ice when it begins in January!

Yay!

I caught up with Lauren before the announcement to talk beauty and tanning.

What made you decide to create a fake tan range?

I have always wanted to have my own business and coming from Essex, I find it important to look and feel good. In this way, I have an affinity with the beauty and tanning industry.

Fake tan is a perfect product for me, TOWIE is the perfect platform and the time was right

How involved were you in creating and designing the range?

I was completely involved and I work very closely with my business partner

What is your favourite item from the collection?

I love the Self Tan Mousse (£17.95) as it is so easy to apply, especially if you use our tanning mitt.

The instant colour means you can get a quick fix instantly and then it develops into a fab long wearing colour too

What does your TOWIE mates think of your range? Do they use any of your products?

They love it! And yes, many of the girls on the show wear it

What’s in your make up bag today?

I always carry a lip gloss with me and a set of fake lashes!

When do you feel most beautiful?

When I have a tan! A tan is such a confidence boost. My skin looks smoother, my body leaner and it just makes you feel good.

The whites of your eyes and your teeth look brighter, so It’s a win-win situation

Has your perception of ‘beauty’ changed since becoming a celebrity?

Not really as I have always loved trying out the latest beauty products and it is so exciting to now be part of the beauty industry.

I do look after myself and feel that it is important to look and feel good outside and in

You’ve been given a lot of stick in the press about your figure.  How do you stop yourself from getting down about it?

There is always going to be pressure from the media about weight and body shape, but you have just got to learn to let it go over your head and for it not to affect you and get you down.

I am healthy, I go to the gym about 3 times a week but I am also a great believer in life balance

What Make up brands do you love?

MAC and Dior

Do you have a beauty Icon?

I think Cheryl Cole is beautiful and a real icon

Do you ever feel comfortable to be seen out completely bare faced and make up free?

Yes I never wear make up when I am lounging around at home or at the gym or even sunbathing on holiday

Lauren reveal her 'Natural Beauty' without her make up
Have you ever had a beauty disaster?

When I was younger I had several fake tan disasters, which is why I wanted Lauren’s Way to be a streak free formula and also odourless as I hate the smell associated with tanning products

What was the best beauty advice you have ever been given?

Always exfoliate and apply moisturiser to dry areas before applying your tan.

Keep a look out for my Prepare to Party Glam Tan Kit(£36.95) which includes a body polish and tan enhancing moisturiser.

Q&A With TOWIE Hottie Cara Kilbey

Meet Cara Kilbey.

Sister to Tom, best friend to Billi Mucklow and 100% resident TOWIE hottie!

With her bronzed complexion, long, glossy flowing brunette locks and killer smile, this girl has looks to die for.

Today, I speak to her in the hope of finding out how she gets so damn gorgeous!

What’s in your make up bag today?

The girl loves her M.A.C Make up!

Can you share with us one of your top secret beauty tips?

I swear by MAC Wipes because there a real life saver after a big night out, I leave them by the side of my bed so i always remember to take my make up off before i fall to sleep.

Sudocrem is also a great one its amazing on spots and sorts out all sorts including dry skin and is so reasonable to buy.

When do you feel most beautiful?

When i have a planned outfit for a night out and have given myself enough time to have my hair and make up done.
Cara even managed to look gorgeous after running the London Marathon this year!

What Make up brands do you love?

MAC is my ultimate favourite. I'm forever parading around MAC Stores searching for new products and Illamasqua - I also absolutely love that brand.

Do you have a beauty Icon?

My beauty icon would have to be Elizabeth Taylor. She is old school glamour. She had the most amazing brows back in the day.
The late, great Elizabeth Taylor

Have you ever had a beauty disaster?

When i was younger i never used to use a foundation brush to apply my foundation so it always used to slide off half way through the day. Now when i look back at old pictures i think ''What were you thinking''?

What was the best beauty advice you have ever been given?

Always keep your face out of the sun and wear an SPF at all times. The oldest, most beautiful, stay that way.
Cara with co-stars Frankie & Billi

You recently admitted to undergoing liposuction- why did you decide to have this done?

I've always had hang ups about my body, i think every girl probably does.

I've never wanted to be skinny, i do love being a curvy girl, i just had stubborn fat in stubborn areas that i just could not budge.

Going forward with the SmartLipo MPX performed by Dr.Ayoubi was a good choice and I'm really happy with my body now.

How does it look and feel now?

I look more toned and smooth. The scars are so small that you cant even notice them like a 2cm horizontal line.
Cara looking stunning with her bestie, Billi

Would you consider having anymore surgery?

I would never say never. I would expect that once having children I will want to have my boobs re-done.

What advice would you give to someone considering cosmetic surgery?

Find out everything you need to know about the cosmetic surgery you're looking at having.

Choose a surgeon you have heard good things about and then look into their work. Make sure you are making the right decision, don't just jump into it.

You always look stunning on TOWIE. Where do you get all your fantastic, glam dresses from?

I tend to buy both designer and high street and mix them up.

Some of my favourites are: Prodiga Fashion, Matthew Williamson, Celeb Boutique, Preen.

Cara is fronting a new charity initiative called 'Shade Aid' that will help people in Africa stay safe from the harmful effects of UV rays, by giving them your donated sunglasses.

TOWIE's Lydia Bright talks Beauty

Lydia Bright is one half of the much loved TOWIE couple Lyd and Arg.

The nation has taken them into their hearts and when they’re not entertaining us on screen with their on/off romance and foray into ‘parenthood’ with their not-so-micro pig Darcy, Lydia is dazzling us with her beauty and fashion sense in numerous TV and Magazine appearances.

Ahead of the launch of season 3 next week, I caught up with the gorgeous Ms Bright to grill her about things all beauty.

What is your all time favourite beauty brand Lydia?

My favourite beauty brand is Mac they have such a wide range of make up that is so professional and used by many make up artists. The results create a flawless coverage that doesn't looked caked on.

Who is your beauty Icon?

A typical beauty icon would be Marilyn Monroe I love the seductive, feminine look of big red lips and fishtail eyeliner. I think it is a great way to glam up any look. A modern day beauty icon would be Abbey Clancy, her skin always looks effortless and she achieves the smoky eye look perfectly.

Lydia with her TOWIE co stars, Amy, Lauren and Sam

What is your favourite make up item?

My favourite make up item would be my eyelashes (mascara).  It really brighten up my face and I feel like a zombie without it.

Do you have a favourite beauty look?

My favourite beauty look would be smoky, oriental, fishtail eyes. They create a really sexy vamp look.

Do you find yourself influenced by the latest beauty and make up trends, or do you prefer to make your own?

I would say I prefer my own I play it very safe with my make up and stick to what suits me best. I usually stick to a natural clean base, smoky our neutral eyes and neutral or red lips.

If you were stranded on a desert island, which 1 beauty item would you miss the most and why?

If I was stranded on a desert island I would miss the most my moisturiser the most. I apply cream to my body and face twice a day as I love soft flawless skin.

Lydia with the loveable Arg
What skincare, cosmetics and hair care item could you not live without?

I could not live without Decleor creams, MAC make-up, Eylure lashes and Moroccanoil shampoo and hair masks.

Can you share with us one of your trade secret beauty tips?

When you have applied lipstick leave to dry for 30 seconds then cover your lips with a tissue and blot over with loose blotting powder to help lock in the colour.

Have you ever had a make up/ beauty disaster? What happened?

My biggest make up disaster was when I appeared in my first ever episode on 'the only way is Essex.' The party was 80's themed so I had huge lashes, lots of gold shimmer and lashings of lip liner. Although when I watched it back I looked more like a drag queen then an 80's party girl.

Q&A With Sam and Billie Faiers the Stars of TOWIE

Love it or Loathe it, there’s no getting away from it.  The Only Way Is Essex is set to burst back onto our screens this autumn and I for one can’t wait!

Its all about the drama, the glamour, the gossip, the giggles.  Whatever you think of the show you cannot deny the level of success it’s seen.

The stars of the show have been flung from obscurity into the spotlight of the UK media. They can’t pop to Tesco’s without a pap ready to strike, camera in hand, after a photo to flog to a glossy mag.

The photos get printed, then thousands of people see it. Many of those are women and I know from personal experience that some of the stars from the show have a massive teenage girl following.

Sam and Billie Faiers are two of the most recognisable stars of the show. The gorgeous sisters from Brentwood have become celebrities almost overnight and developed a huge fan following.

What has this got to do with beauty I hear you ask?

Well let me tell you.

The sisters recently opened their own Fashion Boutique called Minnies in Brentwood,Essex. I popped along one Saturday to take a look at the selection of gorgeous outfits they had, but could I get in the door? Could I heck!

I couldn’t even see the door through hoards of teenage girls queuing and squealing with excitement, all eager to get though the doors to meet the stars. (Rather like the scenes in this pic from the day the boutique opened!)

These girls are in demand and are fast becoming beauty and style icons for young girls. With their flawless make up and great fashion sense, it’s not hard to see why.

And so, onto Beauty.

I decided to launch my new Q&A section of I Am Fabulicious. You all know what I like, hate and think about beauty products and such. But what about other far more interesting people? What do they love, what do they use, what are their secrets?
