theBalm have only gone and turned one of my favourite
compact highlighter powders into a stunning, creamy liquid highlighter!
Available in two shades Mary-Dew Manizer (which is perfect for lighter, paler skin
tones) & Bonnie-Dew Manizer (gorgeous
at complimenting warmer, darker tones) this duo are a welcome addition to
theBalm’s family and are their first liquid highlighters.
Packaged ibn the same cute, retro packaging that we’ve come
to know and love from the brand, each highlighter is housed within a chic,
sleek tube with an applicator wand resembling that of a lip gloss.
Immediately I love this choice of packaging as it allows for
precise application and makes applying the product to smaller areas such as
your cupids bow and brow bones easier than if using a wider, larger applicator.
Its clear to see that at the moment, in the depths of winter
when I have not so much as a sniff of a tan that Bonnie-Dew is far too dark for
my skin tone, where-as Mary-Dew is perfect.
Mary-Lou is actually my go-to compact highlighter of choice
at the moment so im thrilled to have the option of it in liquid form too.
Anyway- the texture of both shades is gorgeously light yet
rich, highly pigmented and super soft to apply.
It glides onto the skin like silk and leaves an exquisite
shimmer and illumination in its wake.
It is definitely a more powerful and bold looking
highlighter than its powder counterparts and allows you to create a more
dramatic look easily.
The fact it is a liquid allows for more versatility in terms
of it use too; unlike a powder you could add a few drops to your moisturiser or
primer to create a base look with an illuminating glow to give you a dewey
over-all finish.
Mary-Dew and Bonnie-Dew Manizer Liquid Highlighters are
available now and cost £13.50 from Feelunique.
I'm a huge fan of liquid highlighters - I prefer them over powder highlighters. Will have to add this to my list of products I want to try out!
