Kenzo World is one of the most stunning and surprising scents
I’ve ever had the pleasure to encounter.
Everything about this fragrance exudes an original
uniqueness, from the fabulous bottle design, to the intoxicating and addictive
scent within.
The bottle design is an extension of Kenzo’s Collection
which features the all-seeing eye, alluding to the force of the ‘third eye’ and
spiritual protection coming from above.
Shaped (as you would therefore
expect) resembling an eye, the Kenzo World bottle features a beautifully
smooth glass base which reveals the baby blue perfume within.
A half moon dip within the bottle provides the perfect
backdrop for the rose gold pearl which delicately hangs from the top of the
bottle.
The hard, ribbed lid provides a stark contrast to the soft
fluidity of the rest of the bottle, providing an indication of the contrast
between the floral femininity and the boldness of the scent inside.
The scent itself, while described as being floral, is in my
opinion, quite oriental and yet sweet too.
It’s a complex scent that leaves you craving more.
Top notes of Eqyptian Jasmine and peony offer a soft floral experience
before heart notes of plum and raspberry help to sweeten the nectar.
Patchouli and Ambroxan crystals round off the fragrance
leaving a soft yet sweet, delicately floral yet ever so musky fragrance that is
distinctive, feminine and undeniably beautiful.
It really is quite an unusual scent and one I didn’t expect
to love quite as much as I did.
Despite its uniqueness I really feel that it would appeal to
a wide range of women.
It possesses so many lovely qualities; soft florals,
delicate sweetness and a light muskiness, that’s its hard not to find something
in it that you love.
Kenzo World is available now from The Perfume Shop and costs
£63 for 50ml.
