I’m not sure why it’s taken so long for me to discover these
beautiful fragrances but better late than never right!
When you see a fragrance named ‘Diamonds’ you know you’re in
for something a little bit special and these three lovely scents from Emporio Armani do not disappoint.
Considering they all come from the same fragrance family
they are surprisingly and pleasantly very different from one another.
Firstly there’s the original Diamonds EDP, a fragrance which
is said to be inspired by both the past and present, the traditional and
modern.
I’d say that’s a pretty great way to describe this fragrance
which seems to possess the perfect blend of sweet, musky and floral notes,
intertwined to create a unique and appealing scent.
Emporio Armani Diamonds features top notes of Lychee and
Raspberry which offer a deliciously fresh and fruity introduction before floral
notes of Rose, Lily of the valley, patchouli and freesia peep through.
Base notes of Vetiver, amber and vanilla then add a touch of
warmth and muskiness to the fragrance creating a gorgeous sweet yet
sophisticated and floral scent.
Next up is Diamonds Violet, possibly my favourite out of the
trio for several reasons.
While I love the design of the three matching bottles, all
of which resemble precious gems in my opinion, the pretty violet hue to the fragrance
of Diamonds Violet really catches my magpie eye as it glints within its
multifaceted bottle!
That’s not all though, I adore its sweet, addictive and rich
scent featuring base notes of praline which as you can imagine, create a
smooth, sweet and delicious tone to the scent.
Diamonds Violet opens with notes of raspberry, lychee and
passion fruit, followed by heart notes of Rose absolute, freesia and lily of
the valley- very similar notes to Diamonds.
It features the same base notes of amber and vanilla but
also has scrummy praline thrown into the mix.
The result is a far sweeter, warmer and in my opinion, addictive
scent.
Finally we have Diamonds Rose, the latest addition to the
collection and unlike Violet and Diamonds is an eau de toilette rather than an
eau de parfum.
As you can imagine this means that this scent is a fresher
and lighter interpretation of the original, but equally stunning.
It is a sweet, light bubbly scent, the prosecco of the trio
and the most universally appealing I think.
Diamonds Rose opens with notes of juicy blackcurrant,
raspberry and bergamot before heart notes of Lily of the valley, Bulgarian rose
and freesia accord take over.
Base notes of patchouli, ambret seeds accord and woody amber
accord complete the fragrance and offer a delicate soft tone without being
overpowering, heady or heavy.
It’s a truly gorgeous, light fragrance that is perfect for
spring and sunny days and its pretty pink hue is enough to turn heads, well, it
certainly turned mine!
Diamonds are a girls best friend and the Diamonds trio
certainly live up to this saying with a fragrance for every type of woman!
