Too Faced #TFNOFILTER Selfie Powders

I’m not going to lie, I love a selfie. But, and it’s a big but, 99% of any selfie I post has had a super flattering filter placed on it.

After all, who doesn’t want perfect looking, soft, smooth, glowing, skin?

Quite!

C’mon, we ALL do it and I’ve lost count the amount of times I wish there were filters for real life!

If you’re already a fan of the brand Too Faced you’ll have undoubtedly already guessed where I’m going with this!

This cult beauty brand have only gone and answered the prayers of women everywhere by creating their #TFNOFILTER Selfie Powders palette!

This ingenious creation contains light filtering photo enhancing powders which are designed to disperse light that reflects on the skin to instantly brighten any complexion, all while setting your make up and reducing shine.

The powders are meant to mimic the effects of your favourite photo filters, with their powder-cream hybrid creating a soft focus effect on your skin.

You’ve got three different powders in the compact;

Sunrise: Instantly brightens with a diffused warmth

Totally Toasted: Bronzes with a smoothing glow

Moon River: Adds a cool ethereal light to the skin

You can use each powder individually or blend them together to create a customised look.

I’m a BIG fan of Totally Toasted which I like to use to add a lovely warming glow to my skin on days where I don’t feel like wearing a bold bronzer. Its really subtle but can be blended to create a bolder look and its tone isn’t too deep for my pale skin.

I also really love Moon River which actually makes for a fantastic, subtle hi-lighter, gently accentuating your cheek and brow bones.

I’m still a bit undecided on Sunrise, perhaps because my own skin tone is slightly yellow, but I haven’t worked out how best to use this particular powder yet.

The gorgeous Too Faced  #TFNOFILTER Selfie Powders palette is available now from Debenhams and costs £32.

Clarins Limited Edition Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base

I love having pale skin 99% of the time, but come summer I want my skin to glow, even if only just a little bit!

It’s nice to feel like you have a bit of colour, giving the illusion of being out in the sun for a while when in reality you’ve been stuck in an office or in the house for months!

For those of you out there like me who want just a hint of colour and luminosity, Clarins have created their new Limited Edition Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base (£26).

Available in two shades, 04 Apricot or 05 Golden Bronze, this base creates a healthy glow and offers beautiful, illuminated skin perfect for all summer long!

This creamy base can be used alone after your regular daily cream or used with your foundation to help eliminate imperfections and offer a subtle hint of radiance to your complexion.

I tried the Apricot shade which by the way, smelt gorgeous and fresh! The texture was light and creamy and blended to a soft, silky finish.

Admittedly, on first inspection appeared pretty dark for my pasty pale skin, however when blended it looked much more natural.

I added a small amount of this to my foundation every day and was surprised by how subtle it was, yet how I could definitely notice a difference when wearing it.

My skin looked less matte, though not in a shiny or greasy way and certainly had more of a ‘glowing’ and healthy looking appearance.

I reckon this product would also work rather well in darkening your regular foundation by a shade or so if you do end up with a bit of a tan, saving you the need to buy a darker shade of foundation!

The Clarins Limited Edition Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in shades 04 Apricot and 05 Golden Bronze will be available from May and cost £26 each.

Clarins Limited Edition Acquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact

A decent bronzer is a not just a summer must have but an all year must have in my opinion.

That said, summer gives you the opportunity to use it more liberally, whether you are lucky enough to catch a few rays or if you fake it!

Clarins have created possibly one of the most gorgeous bronzers for summer 2015 in the form of their Limited Edition Acquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact (£30).

Embossed with an intricate marine inspired motif, this stunning palette is designed to warm your complexion, adding luminosity to your skin.

The compact contains four matte shades from beige to terracotta which together blend perfectly to create a lovely warming bronze which compliments all skin tones.

There’s not a hint of shimmer or sparkle which  I LOVE, and the multi tonal shades stop the bronzer from looking too heavy, orange or dark on my skin which is obviously a winner.

Another one of the things I love about this little gem is how it is so much more than just a bronzer.

It contains Clarins’ anti pollution complex, light optimising complex and plant micropatch, all of which help to maintain skins natural hydration, so you feel like you’re looking after your skin while beautifying it!

The new Limited Edition Acquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact will be available from May and will cost £30.

Limited Edition Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucree 2015

This time last year Thierry Mugler launched its limited edition Summer 2014 fragrance, Angel Eau Sucree, and it was GOOOOOOOD. Really good.

So you can imagine my delight when the brand new Angel Eau Sucree for summer 2015 arrived in my lap!

It might share the same name as its predecessor but this variation is both subtly and very obviously, different from last year!

This bottle is super cute.

Packaged within a vintage-esq  candy striped boxed, the iconic Angel Star lives up to its name (sucree in case you hadn’t gathered!)  as it appears to have been dipped in sugar!

Frosted glints adorn its points, transforming it into an irresistible looking treat!

While the bottle may look very different, the fragrance retains many of the same sweet, addictive notes as last year’s offering.

Caramelized meringue, patchouli and vanilla offer the familiar sweet, warm, soft notes we all associate with the Angel brand but this time the fruity notes really pack a punch!

Tangy red berries offer a sparkling contrast to the sweet notes, lightening the fragrance and giving it a fresher, fruity all round experience.

Its really, really nice, and if you find the original Angel a bit too heavy, I think you’ll love the fruitier, lighter Angel Eau Sucree which is perfect for summer.

The limited edition Angel Eau Sucree will be available from May 1st and will cost £45 for 50ml.
