Vaseline Paint The Town Red Limited Edition Lip Tint

So, I got my hands on one of the gorgeous Vaseline Paint The Town Red Limited Edition Lip Tint and its just as lovely as I thought it would be!

Firstly, it smells yummy!

It’s very delicately fruity without having a really fake, overpowering  fragrance to it.

Next, the colour is just great! It looks really red in the tin but as you can see from my photos, actually only gives a hint of red to just perk up tired looking lips.

I was quite pleased by this because as a wearer of red lips, I know how troublesome it can be to keep the colour on my lips and not all around my face, and if this Vaseline lip therapy had been really pigmented, I think I’d be in trouble!

All in all, I really like this; No its not going to give you a dramatic lip, but it will perk you up with a hint of colour while making sure your lips stay soft and yummy!

Vaseline’s Paint The Town Red Limited Edition Lip Tint is available now at Selfridges for £3.49 before rolling out at nationwide stockists later this month.

Clinique’s New Superprimer Face Primers

The newest primers on the block come from Clinique in the form of 6 gorgeous shades which address a wide range of different skin issues and concerns.

These lightweight, oil-free primers have been designed to create an ideal makeup canvas and thanks to their different formulations, means that you can choose the perfect primer for you!

  Available in the range are;

Universal Face Primer

Colour Corrects: Dullness

Colour Corrects: Redness

Colour Corrects: Sallowness

Colour Corrects: Discolorations

Colour Corrects: Dullness in Deeper Skins

I tried out their universal primer, the one for redness and the other for discolorations.

The Colour Correct primer for redness has a yellow tone to it to help counteract the redness in your skin, was relatively thick but glided onto my skin like silk and vanished quickly, leaving my skin feeling satiny smooth.

The primer for discolorations was almost identical in texture and sported a peachy tone.

The Universal Primer however was an entirely different texture altogether. It was far thinner in texture and more liquidy, which took a while to rub into my skin and absorb and didn’t leave the silky, satiny feel that I would usually associate with a primer.

That said, I actually rather liked it and found it hugged my skin better and allowed my foundation to be applied more evenly that some of the thicker primers I’ve tried in the past.

I can’t comment that much on how the redness corrector and discolouration corrector primer work in terms of reducing redness and blurring imperfection scars etc as I don’t tend to suffer with either of those skin complaints.

I can judge the primer though, based on its ability to keep my make up on my face, to even out my skin tone and to leave my face feeling pampered, and both succeeded in doing this.

Clinique’s Superprimer Face Primers are available now and each cost £20 for a 30ml tube.

Go BearFaced for Childen In Need!

BBC Children in Need have just launched this year’s BearFaced Day.

Along with a host of well known celebrities, they are asking women across the UK to join them in going BearFaced for BBC Children in Need on Friday 8th November.

What is this going ‘BearFaced’ I hear you ask?

Well, the campaign simply asks for women to spend 1 day without makeup on and instead, pop on a Post Office Pawprint

Celebrities including Laura Whitmore, Arlene Philips, Alex Jones, Sheridan Smith, Kimberley Walsh,  Suki Waterhouse and  Jo Wood have all have gone BearFaced in a make-up free photo-shoot by world renowned photographer, Rankin, to encourage women across the UK to unite to do the same.

Kimberley Walsh said: “BBC Children in Need’s BearFaced Day campaign is such a brilliant way to raise money; will you be joining me this Friday 8th November?”

Going BearFaced is a simple way to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Women can either participate alone or set up a Bearfaced team with friends, family and colleagues to make the day more fun, and far less scary than going it alone!

The Pawprints as seen on the BearFaced celebs are available now at Post Offices across the UK or online HERE.

Find out more at bbc.co.uk/pudsey and prepare a sponsorship page at mydonate.bt.com/events/gobearfaced.

So, will YOU be going BearFaced on November 8th? for charity?
