You’ve probably heard me use this saying a lot, but
it’s true.
It’s a crime not
to prime!
Priming gives your skin with the perfect base to
create stunning looks and helps your make up to last longer as well as looking
fresher.
Murad have the perfect primer for my oily,
troublesome skin in their Skin Perfecting Primer – Blemish and Shine Control (£29).
The unique formula is meant to instantly improve
the appearance of your skin, conceal flaws and imperfections leaving you with a
perfectly matte finish, while improving skin health for the future too.
The product uses an Adaptive
Shade Technology, creating a perfect skin tone match with light-enhancing
minerals which blend with your natural skin tone and It contains a Probiotic Complex to promote resistance to
harmful bacteria while Salicylic Acid reduces blemishes and prevents future
breakouts.
Sounds fab, and it is
indeed fab.
Unlike other primers
which can feel heavy and thick, the Murad primer is extremely light, non greasy
and glides onto the skin like silk.
Due to its adaptive shade technology it comes in one shade, which to
begin with looks too dark for my skin, but when applied and blended, it matches
my skin tone seamlessly.
My skin is left feeling super silky and soft and my foundation literally
just glides onto my skin with this as a base.
I found that it did help to keep my oily skin at bay more than if I wasn’t
wearing it, though I did still have to power my nose every now and then.
It felt good to know that this primer wasn’t just helping to create a
great base for my make up, but that it was helping to look after my skin too,
which for me, made the £29 price tag more acceptable.
You can get your own Murad Skin Perfecting Primer with Blemish & Shine Control from their website, where you will also be able to get primers
which offer a dewey finish and matte finish.
I absolutely LOVE this primer! It's my current holy grail base for sure :)
