You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream For Eye Cream!

As I nudge closer and closer to the big 3-0 (argh!) I’ve started to look at my skincare regime more closely.

The issues I used to have (spots, dry patches and oily skin) are not the ones I am being confronted with now (fine lines, crows feet and wrinkles)

God I hate getting older!

One of the items I have started to add to my skincare regime are eye creams.

The skin around the eye area is thinner than the skin on the rest of your face and extremely delicate, so it makes sense that it needs to be treated differently.

With the market being saturated with brands and products, it’s difficult to know where to start or what to choose.

I’ve been road testing 5 eye creams over the past few weeks and today I’m going to share my thoughts on them with you.

They Say: Helps lift the eye area instantly. Helps reduce the appearance of puffiness, dark circles, fatigue and crow's feet.

I Say: This cream has a mid/thick consistency and smells non- scented. Unlike their first product, Nanoblur, I failed to see the ‘immediate’ results they said you would experience. It is however, non greasy, light and felt moisturing around my eyes.

They Say:  This anti-aging eye cream helps improve the appearance of deep wrinkles, firms and deeply hydrates the eye area to visibly reduce advanced signs of aging.

I say: This cream is luxuriously thick, the thickest cream out of all I tested by far. Despite its thickness it sinks into the skin quickly leaving my skin feeling super nourished. Its non greasy and I loved the fact that it felt dense, which made me feel like my eyes were getting a real treat.

They Say:  With an advanced blend of anti-ageing ingredients, StemCellution Eye Serum glides on to even out skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark circles and puffiness while stimulating collagen production for firmer, brighter looking skin. It leaves eyes feeling smooth and refreshed

I Say: I really liked this serum. Lighter than both Eysilix and Philosophy’s Miracle worker, it glided effortlessly onto my skin and disappeared almost immediately into it. The lightness of this serum felt refreshing around my eyes and left me feeling brighter and more awake.

They Say:  A balanced formulation of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, clinically proven marine actives: EPS SEAFILL and our proprietary blend of natural organic oils and extracts, has resulted in an anti-wrinkle eye line filler that instantly minimises the appearance of crow's feet, furrows and fine lines. It naturally plumps and smoothes the appearance of expression lines, fine lines and wrinkles.

I Say:  Firstly at £8.99 this cream is a bargain. Secondly It is Organic, a huge plus point for me personally. Thirdly it was actually really nice! It has a delicate scent, which oddly isn’t at all coco-nutty, is lovely and light and left my skin feeling plumped and pampered.

They Say: A triple-action eye cream to help revitalise weary eyes, smooth away dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines with super hydrating hyaluronic acid to help brighten and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes.

I Say: This creams reminds me of the type of creams you would get treated to at a beauty salon. It smells  like essential oils and like Dr Organic, is 99% natural. This was probably the lightest of the eye creams which felt more like a day moisturiser than an eye cream, but it left my skin feeling hydrated none the less.

So, what do you think?  Do you use eye creams?

Which ones work for you? Please let me know!
