You may remember me telling you way
back in July about how Twilight’s Kristen Stewart was the face of Balenciaga’s fragrance,
Florabotanica.
Well, today I’m here to tell you about that fragrance!
Well, today I’m here to tell you about that fragrance!
Florabotanica eau de parfum combines both the fantastical and ultra contemporary aspects of the Balenciaga brand.
Hence why Kristen Stewart was chosen to front the campaign I guess!
The Imaginative
name evokes image and aroma of 18th
century botanical gardens in which only the most exotic and rarest plant
species were displayed.
Containing notes of vetiver and caladium leaf, the fragrance has dark, woody notes, while a hint of rose, carnation and mint adds instant freshness and lightness to the fragrance.
Encased in a
stunning, contemporary, couture bottle, the bold lines and modern bottle seem contradict the more traditional, floral
notes of the perfume.
I was fooled
into believing the fragrance was going to smell very different than it actually
did, maily due to the marketing and from the packaging.
I imagined it to be quite a strong, bold, modern fragrance. While it is both bold and modern, it is a far more romantic scent than I imagined it would be!
Never before has it been more true. Never judge a fragrance by its bottle!
Florabotanica by Balenciaga is available now and retails at £40 for 30ml.
