Hotel Chocolat Truffles for Two Advent Calendar

Hotel Chocolate is one of my most favourite chocolate shops.

They make the most amazing chocolates to suit every taste and budget and at Christmas their advent calendars are always to die for.

This year my favourite by far is their Advent Calendar ‘Truffles for Two’.

It’s a great concept, a calendar that you can share with your other half as behind each door you’ll find not one but two decadent truffle chocolates (or if you’re like me, just be really greedy and have double the joy, ha!).

But seriously, it is meant for sharing which I think is sweet and contains a great selection of festive flavoured truffles.

You’ve got; Mulled Wine, Pecan Gingerbread, Cinnamon Praline, Nutmeg Almond Praline, Raspberry & Hibiscus, Salted Caramel Cream, Milk Praline and Dark Gianduja.

I can confirm that Mulled Wine is a fabulous truffle by the way and I munched my way through a fair few of these last year. Whoops!

The calendar is not a cheap chocolate calendar and costs £26 but the truffles are of such an amazing quality and you are getting 48 in there, plus the novelty of getting to enjoy a calendar with your other half is pretty cool too.

The Hotel Chocolat Truffles for Two Advent Calendar is available online and in store now.

Little Mix Gold Magic

Like any perfume, Celeb fragrances can often divide people’s opinions.

You’ve not only got a new scent to decide if you like or not but often people are put off from trying them simply by the people who are releasing them.

I’m not one of those people and though it may not be ‘cool’ to admit that I love Britney Spears’ fragrances, screw it, I do.

I can now add Little Mix’s debut scent Gold Magic to my list of favourite celebrity fragrances and I’ve no problems admitting that either!

Firstly I adore the bottle; its so chic and sophisticated and nothing like I would have expected from a young girl band.

As for the scent itself, well, I would describe it as soft, sweet, musky and moreish.

It opens with a burst of playful hints of fruit before transforming into a captivating, powdery velvet heart with pretty violet tones while watermelon offers a refreshing tone.

The base notes are musky and warming yet also sweet and together they create a surprisingly sophisticated fragrance.

I’ve enjoyed Little Mix’s music since they started on the X-Factor and even had the pleasure of meeting them once and am thrilled that I can now enjoy their debut scent!

Gold Magic is available now and costs £26.95 for 50ml.

The Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Collection from L'Occitane

Ok so I’m basically in love with the new Pamplemousse Rhubarbe collection from  L’Occitane.

For those of you who don’t speak French, Pamplemousse means Grapefruit and Rhubarbe means, well Rhubarb, but you could probably have worked that out!

Its actually one of two new ranges created by L’Occitane founder Oliver Baussan and French pâtissier Pierre Hermé  who is renowned for his inventive flavour combinations.

The two have come together to create the new limited edition fragrances which feature original and unique combinations that evoke memories of the lands of the Mediterranean and Corsica.

Now I’d never have imagined that grapefruit and rhubarb would work together so well but this collection smells uh-mazing!

There’s an Eau de Toilette (£46), Shower Gel (£14), Body Lotion (£20) and a Tantalising Collection Gift set (£55) which also includes a body milk and scented soap.

I’ve been wearing the eau de toilette for several weeks and have been complimented numerous times on it thanks to its sweet and zesty yet creamy and fresh scent.

Grapefruit is at the heart of this creation and its slightly bitter scent is offset by the green and crisp aromas of rhubarb while spices and woody notes of cedar round the fragrance off perfectly.

I really, REALLY like it.

Similarly the shower gel and body lotion both possess the same addictive and unique scent and together leave you smelling sweet and fresh for hours.

It’s a really lovely step away from more traditional scents that are released around Christmas time and I really hope its here to stay!

You can grab all the items from the Pamplemouuse Rhubarbe collection from the L’Occitane website now.
