Hotel Chocolat Truffles for Two Advent Calendar

Hotel Chocolate is one of my most favourite chocolate shops. 

They make the most amazing chocolates to suit every taste and budget and at Christmas their advent calendars are always to die for.

This year my favourite by far is their Advent Calendar ‘Truffles for Two’.

It’s a great concept, a calendar that you can share with your other half as behind each door you’ll find not one but two decadent truffle chocolates (or if you’re like me, just be really greedy and have double the joy, ha!).

But seriously, it is meant for sharing which I think is sweet and contains a great selection of festive flavoured truffles.

You’ve got; Mulled Wine, Pecan Gingerbread, Cinnamon Praline, Nutmeg Almond Praline, Raspberry & Hibiscus, Salted Caramel Cream, Milk Praline and Dark Gianduja.

I can confirm that Mulled Wine is a fabulous truffle by the way and I munched my way through a fair few of these last year. Whoops!

The calendar is not a cheap chocolate calendar and costs £26 but the truffles are of such an amazing quality and you are getting 48 in there, plus the novelty of getting to enjoy a calendar with your other half is pretty cool too.

Yankee Candle Advent Calendars 2015

I think we all know that when it comes to Advent Calendars there are so many other options out there than just the bog standard chocolate ones- though, I do love chocolate so these will always have a special place in my heart.

Top of my yearly wish list are the offerings from Yankee Candles. I love burning scented candles at home as they fill your home with a comforting fragrance and there are no better scents than the Yankee Candle festive ones!

Their range of candles and scents can turn your home from blah to a magical Christmas grotto in a flash and I love this!

This year Yankee have outdone themselves with their two Advent Calendars and yes I’m pretty sure you’re going to want both!

First up is their festive Advent House In The Snow Calendar (£27.99) which is back by popular demand following last years success.

The Advent House features 7 festive fragrances; you’ve got Candy Cane Lane, Winter Glow, Snowflake Cookie, Icicles, Bundle Up, Spiced Orange and then Christmas Eve which is a bigger Votive Candle.

I love how fabulous this house is and it also doubles up as a great Christmas Decoration as it looks great on show in your home.

Next up is a very special, not-so little Calendar.

New for 2015 is the Reindeer Carousel Advent Calendar which features a beautiful design of reindeer on a carousel!

This calendar features 8 festive fragrances in a mixture tea lights and votive candles.

 In tea lights you’ve got Berry Trifle, Christmas Cookie, Bundle Up and Cinnamon Stick and in votive candles you’ve got Red Apple Wreath, Candy Cane Lane, Angels Wings and Snow in Love.

This calendar costs slightly more at £31.99 but I’m sure you’ll agree is worth every penny when you look at how much you’re getting.

Just like the Advent House this stunning Carousel design brings a bit of the magic of Christmas into your home and is just so incredibly cute!

The Body Shop Beauty Advent Calendar 2015: First Look

It may be August but when it comes to Beauty Advent Calendars you can NEVER be too early when it comes to deciding which ones you want!

They always sell out due to their huge popularity so I’ll be posting news on the various ones available as and when I get them.

First, The Body Shop.

This year you’ll have TWO to choose from. Oh yes, TWO!

One will retail at £60, containing £93.50 worth of products while another new addition, a Deluxe version will cost £80 and contain £127 worth of goodies.
