Ok so I’m basically in love with the new Pamplemousse Rhubarbe collection from L’Occitane.
For those of you who don’t speak French, Pamplemousse means
Grapefruit and Rhubarbe means, well Rhubarb, but you could probably have worked
that out!
Its actually one of two new ranges created by L’Occitane
founder Oliver Baussan and French pâtissier Pierre Hermé who is renowned for his inventive flavour
combinations.
The two have come together
to create the new limited edition fragrances which feature original and unique
combinations that evoke memories of the lands of the Mediterranean and Corsica.
Now I’d never have imagined that grapefruit and rhubarb
would work together so well but this collection smells uh-mazing!
There’s an Eau de Toilette (£46), Shower Gel (£14),
Body Lotion (£20) and a Tantalising Collection Gift set (£55) which also
includes a body milk and scented soap.
I’ve been wearing the eau de toilette for several weeks and
have been complimented numerous times on it thanks to its sweet and zesty yet
creamy and fresh scent.
Grapefruit is at the heart of this creation and its slightly
bitter scent is offset by the green and crisp aromas of rhubarb while spices
and woody notes of cedar round the fragrance off perfectly.
I really, REALLY like it.
Similarly the shower gel and body lotion both possess the
same addictive and unique scent and together leave you smelling sweet and fresh
for hours.
It’s a really lovely step away from more traditional scents
that are released around Christmas time and I really hope its here to stay!
You can grab all the items from the Pamplemouuse Rhubarbe collection from the L’Occitane website now.
