Meet Pink Friday, Nicki’s
debut fragrance.
Described as an Intoxicating Floral Musk, it is nothing like I thought it would
smell.
It is far sweeter than I imagined, on a par almost
with Britney Spears Fantasy I’d say.
Yes, perhaps the saccharine-pink packaging should
have been a bit of a giveaway, along with the unique, bizarre but undoubtedly stunning
bottle, but it still surprised me.
Notes of starfruit, mandarin, vanilla and caramelized
pear bask in the warmth of musks and woods to create a sweet, but not instantly
recognizable fragrance.
It is a bit ‘samey’- cute and pleasant, but for me,
not AMAZING.
In my opinion, the best thing about this fragrance
is the bottle, and the price, which I thought was really reasonable.
It is so unique and so Nicki and I really do love
my barbz (what Nicki has affectionally
called her Barbie-esq bottle)
Complete with her trademark pink hair and lips, the deluxe size
bottle even features an original NICKI MINAJ nameplate necklace.
