Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm

Ceramighty AF Eye Balm is the fab new launch from cult brand Drunk Elephant.

This intensely nourishing eye cream helps to lift the signs of fatigue around the eye area, resulting in firmer, brighter, younger looking skin.

Packaged within the instantly recognisable Drunk Elephant rectangular white vessel with a soft, violet coloured swizzle top lid, it is a cool, quirky, fuss free looking product.

The detail is in the formula as opposed to the packaging, as it should be with skincare!

And there’s a LOT to say about the ingredients!

Formulated at pH 5.5 to mirror your skins natural pH levels, as the name ‘Ceramighty’ might suggest, one of the key elements is a 3% Ceramide Blend.

This blend features plant derived ceramides AP,NP and EOP which are identical to the moisturising ceramides which naturally occur in our skin. Ceramides help to fill the spaces between skin cells, giving them elasticity while playing an essential role in strengthening your skins barrier by maintaining moisture balance and protecting against water loss.

A comprehensive blend of antioxidant rich fatty acids in the form of evening primrose oil, chia seed oil, flax seed oil, avocado oil , linolenic and linoleic acids help to create a natural oil barrier while deeply moisturising for plumper, fuller, wonderfully hydrated skin.

Omega 6 and 9 rich virgin marula oil, marula butter and vitamin E and A rich jojoba seed oil offer superior antioxidant nourishing properties while oat derived avena sativa kernel oil soothes and reduces redness in your skin.

To unleash the comforting, restorative properties of the cream, simply twist the lid for the pump to appear and press down.

The balm itself white in colour and sumptuous and rich yet surprisingly light in texture.

When massaged into the skin around the delicate eye area, it looses its hue and becomes transparent, expertly blending into your skin.

Quickly absorbed, it leaves your skin feel instantly nourished and soft, hydrated and comfortable- even if you’ve only managed to snatch a few hours sleep.

Non greasy or oily, it doesn’t leave behind a film or feeling of tackiness.

Skin feels re-hydrated and plump, which actually helps to reduce the appearances of fine lines and wrinkles.

Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm is available now and costs £52.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum

Supercharge your skincare this autumn with Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Day Serum (£67).

This powerful, super-potent Vitamin C day serum is absolutely bursting with antioxidants, nutrients and fruit enzymes which help to firm and brighten the appearance of skin while minimising the visible signs of ageing.

Housed within a minimalistic, chic air-tight container which helps the formula to stay fresh, you’ll find a luxurious, lightweight serum packed full of a host of skin-loving ingredients, ready to transform your skin.

The key ingredients here are 15% L-Ascorbic Acid plus Ferulic Acid and 1% Vitamin E.

This hardworking trio protect your skin against pollution and other environmental aggressors while noticeably brightening both the look and feel of your skin.

It is due to these ingredients that the container needs to be air tight because pure l-ascorbic acid is at its best when fresh, so storing the serum in your fridge is a good idea to help maintain its potent antioxidant activity and effectiveness.

There’s even more antioxidant goodness in the formula in the form of grape extract which helps to improve the tone of your skin while Indian gooseberry helps to slow the signs of oxidative stress while encouraging firmness.

Meanwhile, a chronopeptide mimics the antioxidant benefits of vitamin D promoting a more youthful complexion while Pumpkin Ferment and Pomegranate Extract work together as an exfoliator to enzymatically dissolve dead surface skin cells.

It also contains something called a Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, which is a hydrating element with a smaller molecular weight than hyaluronic acid meaning it can effectively penetrate the deeper levels of your skins epidermis, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

100% free from essential oils, silicones and fragrance, it has a pH level of 3.3 and is great for those of us with sensitive skin.

The serum itself is wonderfully fluid and light, non-sticky or greasy.

Silky and soft in texture, it glides across your skin leaving it feeling firm, hydrated and revived, plus it boasts a reservoir effect which means that the ingredients will stay active on your skin for up to 72 hours!

This long-lasting effect ensures that your skin is left feeling soft and smooth for hour upon hour and after regular use I’ve noticed a dramatic difference to the overall texture of my skin.

Used daily every morning prior to my moisturiser or SPF, I’ve noticed that my acne scars have faded and my skin feels so much smoother to touch.

It is hydrating but not in a heavy, clogging way and often my skin feels so nourished that I actually by-pass my moisturser.

(That said I do have oily skin so don’t need quite as much hydration as those with dry/normal skin types.)

It is a beautiful, potent serum that will deliver results if your skin is in need of having life breathed back into it.

Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Day Serum is available now and costs £67.
