Alien Goddess Eau de Parfum Intense is the intoxicating new fragrance from Thierry Mugler.

Released a year after the launch of the original Alien Goddess, this deeper, more intense and provocative incarnation envelops you in a cloud of woody, floral and radiant amber notes.

Similar to the original, Alien Goddess Intense pays homage to its predecessor before taking you to new olfactory levels.

 The sumptuous signature notes of Calabrian Bergamot, Jasmine Grandiflorum Superinfusion and Vanilla Bourbon Infusion are amplified and modified with the addition of new elements.

The sumptuous scent bursts open with notes vibrant, zesty bergamot but unlike the original this tangy element has been softened by the addition of sweet, creamy coconut creating a bright and joyful opening experience.

At its elegant heart sits a recognisable superinfusion of radiant, floral Jasmine Grandiflorum blended expertly with a captivating new note of Jasmine Tea, creating a modern twist of the iconic white flower.

 

Base notes of sensual Benzoin, comforting Cashmeran and soft a creamy Madagascan vanilla infusion swirl in perfect harmony, enveloping the wearer in a luxurious, invisible veil of power and beauty.

It is an absolutely magnificent fragrance grounded in luxury and sensuality.

It is undeniably feminine but it is a strong femininity. Bold. Fearless. Powerful.

 

 

Primarily a well-rounded, deeply musky scent, it does also feels as though you can sense each individual olfactory element gently fizzing beneath the surface, respectfully allowing each separate note to have its time in the limelight.

Limited Edition Alien Mirage

Mirage is the intoxicating new Limited Edition fragrance from Thierry Mugler Alien.

A refreshing and yet bewitching scent, Mirage is a lighter incarnation of Alien but equally mesmerising and enchanting.

Described as a Floral Acquatic Amber, it is a captivating, sparkling fragrance that blurs the line between illusion and reality.

Captured within the same shaped vessel as Alien, Mirage has been transformed with a lightly tinted blue-grey gradient which radiates out through the multi-faceted, sparkling glass.

 The pale, natural hue reflects the aquatic freshness of the juice within and is finished with a futuristic silver and transparent detailing around the cap.

The fragrance opens with notes of spicy pink peppercorn, offering a somewhat masculine element to the scent.

 Heart notes of Lotus flower and seringa flower burst onto the scene, offering a floral lightness and depth before base notes of well rounded and wholesome hinoki wood combine with the smooth warmth of white amber to create a wonderfully refined and elegant fragrance.

I think I might actually prefer Mirage to Alien original thanks to its delightful freshness. 

The blend of complex notes somehow manages to retain all the bewitching and enticing elements of Alien but brings a lighter, saltier and dare I say earthier notes to a fragrance which is otherwise out-of-this-world.

Thierry Mugler Alien Fusion

 I simply ADORE Thierry Mugler and the fragrances he produces because they are so iconic, daring, eye-catching, captivating, ingenious and transcend anything else thats out there. 

Alien Fusion is the latest creation and it is every bit as daring and decadent, dramatic and flamboyant as its predecessors!

Fusion, as you may expect is a powerful and sensual oriental fragrance.

Inspired by a solar eclipse, this fascinating spicy floral oriental fragrance combines a flamboyant hot scent with an intriguing sensuality.

It is a complex scent lets just say that!

Lets first address the vessel, the bottle, whatever you choose to call it or when it comes to Alien, I like to refer to it as the ‘Gem’, in this case, a Ruby.

Its vibrant and brightly coloured glass is ever so slightly translucent and is coloured with an incandescent red, just like a precious ruby. 

It has been designed this way to represent the way in which the colour of a molten sun spreads a soft light of hope; essentially, the power of an eclipse captured in a bottle.

Bonkers but equally brilliant as far as I’m concerned and the scent itself is exquisite and complex and everything in-between.

The scent gets its name partly from the ‘fusion’ of hot-cold scents within the fragrance, making it a complicated but stunning scent.

There is an interplay of hot and cold contrasts throughout the composition where spicy and fiery meet gentle and sweet.

Top notes of warm ginger and spicy cinnamon fuse together creating a powerful and rich opening before tuberose offers a calming sensuality, eventually giving way to radiant orange blossom, the signature ingredient. It is at this moment that the hot-cold elements collide and create something very special.

The scent rounds off with opulent and iconic white amber which is intensified by the soft, mellow and warm notes of Madagascan Vanilla creating a fragrance which could essentially be a piece of art!

It takes a strong, powerful woman to pull off an Alien scent and Alien Fusion is no different.
