Mon Guerlain Florale is the beautiful new fresh, floriental
scent from Guerlain.
A lighter, softer and more floral interpretation of its
iconic predecessor, Florale has been inspired by a flower unfolding in the
morning dew.
What a gorgeous image.
“For this composition, we wanted to focus on the floral aspect and we
have fashioned it like a bouquet of white flowers, heightening the Sambac
Jasmine, which is an integral part of Mon Guerlain’s identity” explains
Delphine Jelk, who co-created the perfume with the master perfumer Thierry
Wasser.
I’m already a long-time fan of the original Mon Guerlain
(which is reviewed here) so I was excited to discover this new edition.
It is housed within the same iconic bottle however this time
its clear stopper is adorned with a chic, rose gold coloured ring, matching the
pretty soft pink nectar within.
The bottle is the perfect reflection of the fragrance
inside; a contrast between powerful lines and soft curves, the perfect
expression of contemporary femininity which Guerlain have successfully managed
to capture within a fragrance.
Florale features many of the same notes as the original,
with the addition of Peony and Ylang Ylang.
Top notes of Bergamot and Lavender blend into a white
bouquet of Sambac Jasmine, Peony note, Paradisone and Ylang Ylang before base
notes of Iris, Vanilla Note and creamy sandalwood round off the fragrance
leaving a radiant, sensuous and beautifully feminine fragrance.
Delicate and sensual it offer a freshness and lightness that
envelopes your senses and actually brightens your day!
If Mon Guerlain is too decadent and deep for you then
Florale will undoubtedly be perfect.
Mon Guerlain Florale is available now from The Perfume Shop
and costs £62.99 for 50ml.
