Baylis & Harding Beauticology Unicorn Candy Collection

Continuing the super- hot trend for mythical, mysterious and undeniably magical Unicorns and Unicorn themed products is the latest collection from Baylis and Harding.

Check out the frankly fabulous Beauticology Unicorn Candy Collection.

Comprising of a hand wash (£2.15), a bath foam (£3) and shower crème (£3) this playful range  features pretty and enchanting packaging designed to catch your eye and bring out your fun side!

The bottles feature the image of a candy pink unicorn head, partially hidden behind flowing, pastel flowers set to a palette of pinks, lilacs, soft greens and delicate yellows. It is oh so very pretty!

So, what does Unicorn Candy actually smell like I hear you ask?

It smells exactly like you would imagine.

It’s actually really hard to describe its scent, but here goes…. Think, freshly baked, warm vanilla sponge cakes topped with thick, decadent icing and topped with the softest, sweetest cherry.

That is what this collection smells like and it is DELECTABLE!

My kids love washing their hands with the wash as they pour over the picture on the packaging and delight in its sweet scent.

I love sinking into a bath which smells like a sweet shop, surrounded in soft frothy bubbles and cleansing with the rich, creamy shower cream.

The scent lingers on your skin too allowing you to enjoy the magical experience even after you’ve left the bathroom. Just lush.

Available exclusively from Boots this collection is probably my favourite to date and I can’t get over how reasonably priced the entire range is.

It’s actually even cheaper than usual at the moment as Boots have a 1/3 off on selected Beauticology products for a limited time so there’s never been a better time to treat yourself to this fantastical new collection!

Aussie Pure Locks Collection

I like to think that I never judge a book by its cover but I’m definitely guilty of judging a shampoo and conditioner by its scent.

I’ve been caught out on more than one occasion by selecting my haircare products based entirely on their enticing scents alone, only to be left with less than impressive locks.

One brand that has never let me down in scent or performance are Aussie and their new Pure Locks Collection is no different.

Comprising of a silicone free shampoo, two air light foam conditioners, a cream conditioner, miracle treatment and a leave in conditioning spray this range has been created to revive hair that has become distressed and dull by daily life.

Daily ‘stuff’ such as pollution, heat and product build up can hold your hair back from being its beautiful self and this collection is designed to help purify, de-stress and rejuvenate your hair, leaving it looking its best.

This collection smells DIVINE! It is slightly less heady than some of Aussie’s other collections, which i really like.  It manages to retain all the gorgeous, sweet fruitiness that I’ve come to associate with the brand but it is also somewhat lighter, both in terms of texture and fragrance actually.

The rich, creamy shampoo features a super lightweight formula to gently yet effectively purify and cleanse your locks while protecting from product build up which can weigh down and dull your hair.

Infused with Kadadu Plum (a miracle fruit native to oz which is full of antioxidants) It lathers beautifully and rinses to leave hair that is squeaky clean and smelling yum.

The Pure Locks Conditioner is a great conditioner thanks to its superior hydrating qualities yet ability to leave your hair feeling light and floaty.

Finally, my favourite of the three products I tested is the 3 Minute Miracle Treatment.

This intensive bad boy literally creates miracles in just 3 minutes. Applied to damp hair and gently combed through with a comb or tangle teezer brush it gets to work immediately to revive and repair your hair, leaving it silky soft and super shiny.

Perfect for when your hair needs a little extra TLC it is a fabulous weekly treatment.

The Pure Locks rage from Aussie is available now where the shampoo and conditioner cost £3.99 each and the 3 Minute Miracle costs £4.99.

L’Occitane Delightful Body Balm

The Almond collection from L’Occitane is one of my all-time favourite collections across all brands.

I adore its soft, sweet, sensual, aromatic fragrance that instantly helps to relax and unwind my tired body and mind.

You can imagine then how thrilled I was to see that they have recently launched a new Delightful Body Balm within the Almond family.

This decadent and rich balm is perfect for dry, dehydrated skin thanks to its incredible nourishing properties yet is not at all greasy.

Housed within a chic, mint green tin this balm has been formulated with a blend of almond butter and almond oil from Provence.

It melts onto your skin, offering instant comfort and nourishment to your skin while its soft, delicious scent envelopes your senses.

Despite its name, I’d say the balm is actually more of a body butter in texture. Rich and luxurious in texture it literally glides onto your skin, leaving behind its familiar aroma.

The soft cream is quickly absorbed, leaving your skin feeling pampered and gorgeous without a hint of greasiness.

Its not just me that gives it a big thumbs up though, in a satisfaction test of 34 women after 4 weeks 100% said that their skin felt nourished, supple, ultra soft and comfortable.

If you’re skin requires a little more TLC than just a body lotion then this aptly named Delightful Body Balm is the product for you.

L’Occitane’s Delightful Body Balm is available now and costs £26 for 100ml.
