Thierry Mugler Angel Muse

As you all know, I love all things Angel. It is pretty much my all time favourite scent so I was extremely excited to try the new Angel Muse scent.

Firstly allow me to say it wasn’t at all like I expected it to be and yet it was somehow very familiar too!

Angel Muse is contained within a beautiful, smooth cosmic pebble, very unlike the traditional multi faceted star of the original Angel scent.

The see through crystal heart of the bottle features the iconic and recognisable imprint of the angel star which in my opinion, seeks to remind you of its iconic origins.

The scent itself is absolutely stunning!

For those of you that find Angel just a tad too sweet and sickly, then Angel Muse is gonna be for you.

It contains all the delectable sweetness of hazelnut cream, caramel and chocolate but it has a twist of more masculine, woody notes too.

It is a really distinctive, dare I say more grown up and sophisticated variation of the Angel fragrance and the masculine, woody elements help to tone down the sweetness and leave a beautiful musky, addictive scent.

I am a HUGE fan and find myself wanting to be covered in its delicious, warming aroma all day!

The new Thierry Mugler Angel Muse fragrance is available now and costs £45 for 30ml.

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

I used to be scared of using oils on my skin, be it for cleansing or moisturising due to the already oily nature of my skin, but not anymore.

Just because you have oily skin does not mean you need to be scared of using oils, in fact, they can be extremely beneficial and actually help to balance your skin.

When I saw that Dermalogica had launched a new facial oil called Phyto Replenish Oil I was extremely excited to test it out- I’m a big Dermalogica fan!

This sciency sounding oil has been created to strengthen and restore the skins natural protective barrier, shield against environmental stressors, smooth visible lines and lock in moisture.

It comprises of plant based active ingredients to restore depleted lipids (the natural protective oils which help preserve the skin’s protective barrier and maintain a youthful appearance) and to help deliver a healthy, luminous glow.

Key ingredients in Phyto Replenish Oil include:

Camellia japonica; An antioxidant oil helps strengthen the skin barrier and provides wrinkle-reducing benefits such as stimulating collagen and inhibiting MMPs

Tamanu oil; The phytoactives in this oil are potent antioxidants which inhibit the breakdown of lipid-rich cell membranes from free radicals

Chia seed oil; Provides antioxidant protection and a concentrated delivery of fatty acids which helps hydrate while soothing dry, itchy skin

Orchid flower extract; Repairs, protects and locks in moisture whilst helping to balance skin’s natural moisturising factor (NMF)

Hyaluronic acid; Hydrates whilst providing antioxidant and anti-irritant properties

Sunflower seed oil; A rich source of tocopherols (Vitamin E) which are yellow carotenoids, providing antioxidant properties, key to preserving the skin’s protective barrier and defending against free radical damage

Rice bran oil; Rich in Vitamins B and E, this extract moisturises, helps protect against UV rays and free radicals and aids in cellular circulation

The oil itself is beautifully lightweight and possesses a delicate, relaxing fragrance which wouldn’t be out of place in a spa.

A little goes a long way and the silky oil is absorbed quickly into your skin, leaving it feeling immediately soft, nourished and pampered.

There is no heavy, oily residue, only the feeling of soft, smooth skin.

The oil is designed to be used with a moisturiser, so you are to add four to six drops to it then apply.

Personally I find six drops too much for my skin but if you have dry skin that would be perfect.

I actually use it alone as my skin doesn’t require a heavy moisturiser and it works brilliant as a primer for my make up!

The new Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil is available now and costs £62.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Spritz

While I can’t stand the taste, I adore the scent of coconuts!

It always remind me of warm, tropical summer days and yummy pina coladas.

You’ll all know by now my love of all things sweet smelling so it’ll come as no surprise to say that I adore the new Lee Stafford Coco Loco range of haircare products, and one in particular.

The Lee Stafford Coconut Spritz (£5.99) has quickly become by absolute favourite haircare product.

This super lightweight spray adds moisture to your hair while detangling, de-frizzing, de fluffing and adding superior shine.

It also smells blinkin’ amazing.

Its marketed as looking like a milk but acting like an oil and I would certainly agree with this.

The great thing about it is because it’s not an oil, you needn’t worry about making your hair greasy and lank by over-applying (though you shouldn’t use too much obviously!).

I’m rubbish at using hair oils as I always put too much on but so far I’ve never had an issue with this spray.

I use it on towel dried hair and spray it liberally through the ends before blow drying.

It definitely makes me hair feel softer and smoother and leaves it smelling absolutely delicious!
Better still at just £5.99 its really affordable too.

You can buy the Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Spritz and the rest of the Coco Loco range from Boots now.
