Holland & Barrett Big Beauty Swap

Calling all fans of natural skincare and beauty products!

You can now get 25% off all beauty products in Holland & Barrett until the 11th June by bringing in your old, used beauty products.

Whoop!

The Big Beauty Swap promotion is the latest in Holland & Barrett’s public commitment to natural beauty products, after banning all toiletries that contained harsh chemicals five years ago.

As part of the promotion, any old, empty, or partly used toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser can be taken into any of their 720 stores and swapped for a discounted, more natural alternative.

All the bottles collected nationwide will be recycled at the retailer’s distribution plant, helping the environment too.

The 25% discount can be used on a wide range of their brands, including Dr Organic, Burt’s Bees, Manuka Doctor, A’kin and Dead Sea Spa Magik.

I can personally vouch for how Amazing Dr Organic and Burts Bees are so what are you waiting for?

Get down now there before you miss out!

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Collection

Words cannot express the sheer excitement and joy I felt upon finding out that The Body Shop were bringing back my favourite scent from their range, Vineyard Peach.

This beautiful summer fragrance smells like perfectly ripe, fresh, sweet, juicy peaches.

It is fabulously fruity and refreshing as well as being deliciously sweet, the perfect combo in my opinion!

It smells like a sun drenched summers day.

There is nothing I love more than jumping in the shower at the end of a long day and covering myself in the shower gel which lathers up beautifully, before slathering tonnes of the body lotion all over my body.

The smell of peaches then stays with me all evening and I drink it in!

If you’ve yet to try this fragrance, I highly recommend you do ASAP, it’s delicious!

Dr Organic Snail Gel

Allow me to introduce you to one of my new favourite products.

This moisturising, soothing, anti-ageing gel harnesses the cosmetic benefits of something called Helix Aspersia Muller, a substance produced by snails which quickly regenerates their shells and skin when damaged.

O.K. before you freak out (if you haven’t already) allow me to explain that this gel is far from gross and is definitely not the equivalent of sticking some slimy snails on your face!

Lab test have shown that Helix Aspersia Muller contains a unique balance of beneficial components including Glycolic Acid, Collagen, Elastin, Allantoin, Vitamins and Minerals, all things that are fab your skin.

The unique healing and powers of the snail’s slime, which is harvested without causing any harm, was discovered by chance by snail farmers in Chile who noticed their hands were incredibly soft and hydrated and minor cuts and scars were healing unusually quickly.

Dr Organic Snail Gel, which is available exclusively to Holland & Barrett, boasts a whole range of anti-ageing benefits including, softened wrinkles, smooth skin and scar reduction.

The gel itself has a beautiful, light, silky texture and is possesses a beautifully fresh lemongrass scent.

It is anything but slimy and vanishes into your skin quickly, leaving it feel soft and nourished without feeling greasy or heavy.

I’m in love with the way it smells; fresh, bright and citrus. You can really smell the lemongrass oil in it.

The Aloe Vera within the gel combines with the snail filtrate to calm and nourish your skin, leaving it feeling lush.

I love using the gel and my skin certainly feels perkier and more alive when I use it. I tend to just slap it on pretty liberally across my face and due to its anti ageing properties and ability to soften wrinkles, have stepped away from my eye creams while testing it.

I’ve certainly not noticed any deterioration of the wrinkles around my eyes from not using my creams and I would say that my skin definitely feels firmer after using it.

Dr Organic Snail Gel is available from Holland and Barrett and costs £19.99. If you can get past the whole ‘snail gel’ thing, I’d really urge you to try it.

It’s a great all-round, anti ageing gel which is free from Parabens, SLS, artificial colours, fragrances, and harsh preservatives.

Marc Jacobs Daisy & Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight Editions

Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Editions are the lovely, limited edition floral spring launches of the original cult Daisy and Eau So Fresh Daisy fragrances.

The limited edition bottles are adorned with a fab mix of vivid fuschia, mint green and pale pink daisies which reflect the fresh, playful and enchanting floral fragrances within.

Daisy Delight Edition (50ml £46) is a vibrant and beautifully floral version of Daisy encased in a pretty acquamarine coloured bottle.

Notes of apple and freesia blend with gardenia, peony, sandalwood and musks to create a fragrance that is unmistakeably floral and packs a punch! I love how the fragrance starts out smelling really floral, before gradually settling into more musky and woody notes.

To me, it smells like walking past a florists on a beautifully sunny spring day!

Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight (75ml £52) is actually my favourite of the two.

Its fresh, bright and fruity fragrance nestled within a pretty, pale pink bottle.

A twist of blood orange, raspberry, apricot leaves and exotic tiare Tahiti gives Eau so fresh Delight a sweet and fresh smell, less floral than Daisy but equally beautiful.

It is a light, juicy fragrance that melts into your skin and subtly reminds you of its presence throughout the day.

Both Daisy Delight and Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight are available now.
