On my never-ending quest to banish fine lines and crows feet
around my eyes, I was led to a product by cult brand Elizabeth Arden.
Prevage is Elizabeth Arden’s highly potent range of anti
ageing skincare products and I was really excited to try their brand new Anti-aging and Intensive Repair Eye Serum which boasts that is it ‘proven to reduce
the sever signs of skin aging in just one use.’
A bold claim if ever there was one!
Developed in partnership with
Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute, the leading centre for eye research and
aesthetics, the New Prevage Anti-aging and Intensive Repair Eye Serum is
designed to treat all eye
ageing concerns as well as deliver immediate
and long term benefits.
The
new formulation combines Elizabeth Arden’s exclusive Idebenone technology, the
single most powerful antioxidant, with a blend of something called Arazine™ and
Thiotaine.
Arazine: To soothe skin and help reduce signs of aging
caused by inflammation.
Thiotaine:
This is another effective antioxidant that complements Idebenone in protecting
skin from free radical damage due to environmental assaults, allowing Idebenone
to concentrate on repairing the look of signs of aging.
Ok sounds great, but
does it work?
Well, when dispensed
from it’s chic and sleek looking pump, the serum which is gold in colour, feels
light and delicate.
It isn’t tacky or shiny
and it isn’t thick and greasy. It absorbs almost instantly, vanishing into your
skin and leaving it feeling soft, plumped and nourished.
One pump dispenses
enough serum to use around both eyes, which you then gently smooth around the
eye area twice a day.
Immediately my skin
feels perkier and more awake, moisturised and fresh.
The serum actually
creates a brilliant base for my eye make up too and I can see why in a clinical
trial, 75% of women noted an improvement in deep and fine lines in just 15
minutes after use.
Now, the down side. This lovely eye serum will set you back
a pricey £95.
Now I know this is a lot of money however you look at it,
but you are getting a lot of product for your money, you only need a tiny
amount each day and guys, this serum is one of the good ones that actually does
work and make a difference!
Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage Anti-aging and Intensive Repair Eye Serum is available now and costs £95 for 15ml.
