Boutique by Sainsbury's

Did you know that Sainsbury's now have their own cosmetics line?

Did you know that it is called Boutique by Sainsbury's?

Did you know that their products are elegantly presented in chic black and gold packaging?

Did you know that they feature quality ingredients and long-lasting, hard-working formulas?

Did you also know that the range is vegan, cruelty free and affordable?

Well, now you know all this allow me introduce you to a few of the key items for their collection.

Up first is their Curl and Lift Mascara (£4).

And yes you did read that right and no, that's not a typo. I really did say it costs just £4.

This expensive looking mascara costs you less than a fiver and features an innovative ‘hook n roll’ brush which grabs, separates and curls your lashes in one go.

Dispensing just the right amount of mascara from the tube, the teenie, tiny multi height bristles on the brush grab and coat even the smallest of your lashes, ensuring maximum effect.

The eye loving Pro-Vitamin B5 formula helps to create long, lengthened, volumised lashes in just one coat but equally you can build for a more dramatic look.

Up next is their Smooth Matte Lipstick (£3).

I know I know, the prices are insane but what's even more surprising is that the formulas are equally impressive.

These richly pigmented, creamy lipsticks offer excellent coverage and colour pay off.

Formulated with nourishing Vitamin E and Avocado oil they provide a luxe, matte finish paired with a silky, comfortable wear that doesn't suck all the moisture straight out of your lips.

Next is their Lip Liner (£2).

Formulated with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Jojoba it is a creamy, rich liner.

Gliding effortlessly along your lips without tugging or dragging, it imparts a strong, long-lasting colour to prevent lipstick bleeding and allowing you to define your lips precisely with ease.

Finally there's the Illuminating Strobing Powder (£5).

Enriched with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Jojoba this luxurious, silky powder offer a natural looking, healthy looking glow with the sweep of a brush.

This champagne illumination lifts and brightens a dull, tired complexion without a hint of a sparkle.

Blending into your skin with ease, it catches the light and provides a natural lit-from-within glow.

100% cruelty free and suitable for both vegetarians and vegans, it is a gorgeous, inexpensive product.

The entire collection is really well put together, and with prices from just £2 you can certainly afford to treat yourself!

Boutique by Sainsbury's is available now online and in store.

Benefit They’re Real Double The Lip

They’re Real Double The Lip is the brand new lip liner and lipstick in one from Benefit.

These eye catching, gorgeous lippies are the latest addition to the They’re Real line and are designed to make lipstick application easy peasy.

Featuring a custom teardrop tip, the pointy part of the applicator works as a liner while the rest of the tip contains a semi-matte lipstick.

Available in 8 beautiful shades ranging from subtle nudes to vibrant reds, this lipstick is designed to create visibly fuller lips while offering 8 hours worth of wear.

Firstly allow me to say that I ADORE the sleek packaging and I love owning things that match so to have my lippie match my mascara is really cute!

The range of shades are brill (lusty rose is my fave) and application couldn’t be easier.

Simple twist the bottom of the stick to pop the lippie up and apply in one easy stroke. Position the pointed tip along your upper lip line and glide on then pivot to fill in your lower lip.

Now this varies from shade to shade, but once applied I found it difficult to distinguish the difference in the liner and lipstick.

I realise that this is the idea as we are no longer in the nineties where highly contrasting liners and lipsticks were the look, but I had hoped to see a bigger distinction between the two.

That said, the shape of the tip allowed for precise and easy application and I’m a big fan of the formulation.

Semi Matte is the way forward for me as I find true matte lippies too drying and this lipstick is wonderfully light and creamy yet soft and matte too.

While it stayed on my lips for a decent amount of time I’m not sure I could claim that it lasts 8 hours, but in reality I think you’d be hard pressed to find ANY lipstick that lasts that long.

All in all I’m definitely a fan of these and they are certainly worth a try!

Benefit's They’re Real Double The Lip are available now and cost £16.50 each.
