I’m always on the hunt for decent hair serums.

The ones that leave your hair feeling silky smooth and shinier than you ever thought possible and I’ve just found one!

Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Total Treat Transforming Argain Oil is a fabulous hair product.

This product, while being described as an oil is actually closer to being a lightweight serum in my opinion.

It is enriched with Moroccan argan oil which as we all know is brilliant at nourishing both skin and hair, making this product perfect for dry, coloured and damaged hair.

The oil has a really pleasant, soft and fresh smelling scent and is wonderfully light, perfect for hair like mine that lacks volume as it means it doesn’t weigh it down.

Apply just a pea sized amount to the ends of towel dried hair then blow dry and style as usual.

I only used a tiny amount the first time I used it as I’m paranoid about overloading my hair with products and even using just a tiny amount made a big difference.

My hair felt amazingly soft, even at the ends which are often dry and course.

My hair looked shiner and felt healthier. Winner.

Best still? It currently costs a BARGAINOUS £2.50 at Sainsburys (usual RRP £4).

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All Over Miracle Oil

If like me you are a HUGE fan of Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream range of products you’ll no doubt have been just as excited when they announced the launch of their All Over Miracle Oil.

 

As the name suggests this magic oil can be used on your face, your body and your hair making it the ultimate multi-purpose product (something that I’m sure you all know that I LOVE!)

 Designed for all skin types this beautifully light and fragrant oil contains some fabulous ingredients, guaranteed to leave your skin feeling soft, nourished and pampered.

Packed into the liquid gold oil you’ve got Grape Seed Oil with Omega-6 fatty acids to intensely moisturise and condition the skin, Ginger Root Extract to improve the skin’s texture and tone and Boswellia Resin to improve the skin’s firmness, helping to soothe and calm red or irritated skin.

 Vitamin E helps to condition the skin and protect against free radical damage while Olive, Avocado & Sunflower Seed Oils and Rosemary Extract impart the skin with moisturizing, skin conditioning benefits and antioxidant protection.

 

It’s an impressive ingredient list and one that your skin will certainly thank you for.

I took the photos prior to using the oil which is just as well because in the space of just a couple of weeks I’ve all but used the whole bottle up- whoops!

 It’s easy to do though thanks to its beautiful, fresh and delicately floral scent and its light yet super hydrating properties.

 As I said before it can be used on your face, body and hair and I’ve certainly been using it on all three areas.

My favourite time of day to indulge is after I’ve had a bath at the end of the day. I spritz a thin mist directly onto my face after I’ve cleansed and gently massage in to help nourish my skin and rid it of any dry patches, particularly around my nose where I’ve had a cold and concequently have dry skin.

 

As I have oily-combination skin naturally I only need a small amount but it does the job and im addicted to the smell!

 I’m definitely more generous with application on my body! I like to use the oil on my body when my skin is still ever so slightly damp from the bath or shower, and I literally stand there spraying myself from head to toe!

Despite the high concentration of oils within the product itself it is surprisingly light in texture, non greasy and is absorbed really quickly and with ease into my dehydrated skin.

 My hair generally gets greasy at the roots quite quickly but I suffer with dry ends so after I’ve washed and towel dried it, I spritz a small amount of the oil onto the ends, comb through and blow dry as usual.

It works brilliantly, much like a serum or treatment to smooth the ends and adds a really fabulous shine without weighing my hair down or leaving it look greasy. Obviously if you go OTT you will run the risk of greasiness so just use it sparingly on your barnet!

God I love this product and at £29 for a 100ml bottle I think it’s a really great price point when you consider that you’re getting 3 different uses out of it.

If you haven’t gathered from my review, I ADORE this oil and can’t recommend that you try it more highly.

Wella SP Luxe Oil

I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered Wella SP Luxe Oil!

I pretty much always have to use some form of serum on my hair, thanks to its super long length and inevitable split ends.

The trouble is, some hair oils just make my hair greasy and serums can either be too light, making my hair static or too thick, making it lank, shine-free and heavy.

Its a process of elimination when it comes to finding one that actually works well with my hair and Wells SP Luxe Oil is the one.

Wella SP LUXE OIL uses a reconstructive Transform Technology that benefits hair inside and out, while protecting it from damage and it can be used in LOADS of different ways!

For Wet Hair:

Smooths: reconstructs and transforms hair texture instantly. After shampooing, apply 2–3 drops of Wella SP LUXE OIL through the mid-lengths and ends. Hair quality feels instantly improved after just one application.

Softens: protects Keratin and provides long-lasting smoothness. Use Wella SP LUXE OIL regularly and get up to 6 times smoother hair after 24 hours.

Protects: creates an invisible hair shield. Work a small amount of Wella SP LUXE OIL through damp hair, use a widetoothed comb to gently remove any tangles, and dry hair.

Defines: provides definition for curls and fine hair. Before drying, apply 2–3 drops to the hair and work outwards to define hair as desired, whether for curls or fine hair.

For Dry Hair:

Moisturises: as a pre-shampoo treatment. Divide the hair into sections, and apply 2–3 drops of Wella SP LUXE OIL to the hair and scalp. Massage and leave in for 5–10 minutes. Comb through and then follow with SP Shampoo and Conditioner.

Smooths: provides post-blowdry protection. To control dry, frizzy hair, apply a few drops of Wella SP LUXE OIL after blowdrying. Reapply as needed.

Illuminates: creates beautiful shine. For ultimate shine, blend 2 drops of SP LUXE OIL and apply to damp hair before styling as usual.

Reconditions: treats hair overnight. Apply Wella SP LUXE OIL evenly through the hair before going to bed. In the morning, either leave in or rinse out.

The oil itself is a sort of combination of an oil and serum in terms of texture. 

It is really lightweight and is easy to distribute through wet hair, which is how I used it, and it smells beautifully soft and sweet.
