Shiseido Ever Bloom

Ever Bloom is the exquisite new fragrance from Shiseido.

Inspired by one flower so graceful that only a single bloom fills the room, Ever Bloom is described as an expression of timelessness.

This musky, white floral fragrance is beautifully feminine and soft and features a unique olafactory structure- this is, the notes follow a rounded rather than traditional, triangular structure of top, mid and base notes.

It comprises of two accords: Radiance and Presence. 

The radiance accord (the outer circle) is fresh and feminine with notes of cyclamen and lotus flower while the presence accord (the inner circle) is soft, addictive and sensual, comprising of orange blossom absolute, gardenia, sylkolide musk and hinoki wood.

The perfumer Aurélien Guichard says of the scent;

‘When creating Shiseido Ever Bloom, I wanted to bring a new fresh sensuality, a new petal blooming sensation that will leave an unforgettable impression. I imagined a transparent floral heart, clean and natural. An abstract flower that you can’t quite identify, a flower with a “blurred” outline… I think this fragrance is about serenity, happiness, sensuality.’

I think he’s got it spot on.

It is a truly stunning floral scent; Light and delicate yet also powerful and sensual.

Even the chic and sleek bottle manages to reflect this duality with its soft, curvaceous lines combined with a hit of pink radiating up through the bottle from bottom to top.

Considering I’m not a fan of florals it’s fair to say that I’ve fallen a little bit in love with Ever Bloom.

It is a feminine, unique and wonderfully sophisticated fragrance.

She Who Dares Eminence

Today I’m bringing you a fragrance from a brand you may not have heard of before, Indeed, I had never heard of them before now either.

Eminence is a fresh and floral scent from a brand called She Who Dares and is a scent that is designed to induce confidence and seduction in any woman who wears it.

 She Who Dares is a fragrance concept from business entrepreneur Rachel Lowe MBE who brings her “nothing is impossible” ethos to the range. SWD incorporates desirable scents with complimentary bath and body products, whilst also introducing a community of inspirational women to the brand.

Indeed their emblem (which is reflected in the design of the fragrance lid) is a symbol of recognition, unity and strength which says that no matter what, we can achieve anything and do it with style.

Ok so I like their ethos but what about their fragrance, Eminence?

It’s a very pleasant floral scent that thanks to its lightness isn’t too heady or overpowering.

It opens with notes of bergamot and pink peppercorn, while at the heart sits rose, peony, forget me not and lily of the valley. 

(I LOVE Lily of the valley!)

It comprises of seductive and soft base notes of sandalwood, soft musk and patchouli, leaving you with a really feminine and delicate scent. 

I wasn’t that taken by the packaging or shape of the bottle which I found to be a bit old fashioned but was pleasantly surprised by the scent within which was actually rather nice.(It turns out the bottle is actually an award winning design so shows how much I know!)

Within this fragrance family there is also a Bath and Shower Gel (£18) and Body Lotion (£20) to enhance and prolong the experience of the perfume.
