Angela Langford Skincare balanced & beautiful balancing face oil

Angela Langford Skincare is a British brand created by the MasterChef Finalist as a recipe for great skin.

Her collection of products have been created by hand and boast organic, vegan, cruelty free, mood-boosting formulations to nourish and feed your skin through fine ingredients without any chemicals.

Only the best ingredients are captured within her skincare to deliver a potent concentration of active raw material and she uses no parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, colours or other nasties.

Each and every ingredient has been thoroughly researched and selected for its natural skin care properties, be it for anti-ageing, rejuvenating, healing, calming or soothing.

I recently tried her balanced & beautiful balancing facial oil and was really impressed by it.

Created specifically for normal/combination/oily skin (but suitable for all skin types) this rich, anti-ageing oil is the perfect product to help restore your skins natural balance.

I held off using skin oils for a while because as an oily-skinned individual I was worried about the repercussions of applying an oil to my already greasy skin but I needn’t have been concerned and neither should you.

In fact, I’d go as far to say that using this oil has actually actively HELPED control my skin’s predisposition to being oily.

Housed within a compact glass vessel it features an elegant dropper to allow you to dispense as much or as little of the product as you desire.

The oil itself possesses a rich, sunny orange hue and smells absolutely beautiful.

It contains a cocktail of ingredients designed to help balance your skin while protecting it from outside aggressors and leaving it feeling soft, healthy and radiant.

Formulated with kiwi, safflower and omegas 3 and 6, it comforts and softens your skin while helping to normalise oil production.

Cypress, bergamot and lemongrass not only help to give the oil its wonderful aromatic scent but they also help to clear blocked pores which can cause skin congestion.

Meanwhile, mandarin and frankincense helps to tone and lift your complexion, creating the illusion of younger looking skin.

The oil itself is actually rather light and thin in texture as opposed to rich and heavy and glides across your skin.

Quickly absorbed, skin is immediately left feeling pampered and soft, hydrated and nourished while you are left with the most delightfully relaxing and soft aroma.

A little goes a long way so your bottle will last you a decent while and is best applied to freshly cleansed skin, prior to your regular moisturiser.

Its silkiness creates a great base for make-up application and its blend of active natural ingredients get to work to restoring your skins natural beauty.

Now is the perfect time to introduce an oil into your skincare regime and you can purchase Angela Langford’s balanced and beautiful balancing face oil online now where it costs £20.50.

Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil

I love a facial oil.

Super nourishing and hydrating they are the perfect addition to your skincare regime for when the winter months creep in, the weather gets colder, the central heating clicks in and it all wreaks havoc with your skin.

A particular favourite of mine is the Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil (£39).

Suitable for all skin types but particularly those who suffer with dry or dehydrated skin this lightweight facial oil complex features a blend of nine essential oils and plant extracts to help promote your skins elasticity, strength and radiance.

Super hydrating and nourishing the treatment works to condition and reconstruct your skin to enhance its resilience and protect from environmental damage.

The oil itself possesses the most beautiful aromatic scent. Rich and decadent its aroma swirls, capturing your senses and relaxing your mind.

Palma rose, orange, mint, vanilla, geranium, chamomile, lemon, rose and lavender replenish moisture and re-balance your skin while Omega 3 helps restructure the skin and promote elasticity.

Camelina oil offers powerful antioxidant properties to protect the skin from environmental aggressors and Moringa seed (the ingredient at the heart of Emma’s range) which is a source of skin essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidant rich phytonutrients helps to rehabilitate dull, tired looking skin.

Designed to be used under a moisturiser on freshly cleansed skin, apply a few drops and smooth over your face with your fingertips, gently massaging it into your skin.

The gorgeous scent lingers on even after the oil has been absorbed and you can instantly feel how soft and moisturised it has left your skin.

I suffer with oily skin so I only tend to use a small amount of oil but you can up the drops depending on how dry your skin is.

I particularly like to treat myself to this oil at night-time, where I allow my skin to drink in all the goodness and recharge its batteries!

It is particularly good at soothing and repairing dry chapped skin which I suffer with around my nose from where I’m constantly blowing it thanks to kids and their winter colds which they kindly share with me!

Emma Hardie’s Brilliance Facial Oil is available now and it costs £39 for 30ml.

Aromatherapy Associates Face Oil Collection

What is your skin type? Typically I’d categorise mine as being oily/combination in as much as my T- Zone is almost always oily but I sometimes suffer with dry patches on my cheeks and areas on my forehead.

However, that doesn’t mean that my skin is always oily-combination. Our skin is always changing, be-it due to factors such as stress and hormones or environmental factors such as the weather or pollution and when you skin exhibits these changes it is important to adapt your skincare regime accordingly.

While this may sound like a lot of faff (and probably expense) it is actually really important when trying to look after the overall health of your skin.

Aromatherapy Associates understand your skins changing needs and in response to such have created a fabulous and quite frankly, inspired Face Oil Collection (£53).

This cute as collection features all six of the Aromatherapy Associates Face Oils in handy 3ml discovery sizes.

Each oil features a carefully crafted blend of essential oils to help target 6 different sets of skin needs.

Containing 100% natural ingredients these potent essential oils easily penetrate the layers of your skin to deliver targeted solutions to your skins complaints.

The Collection includes:

Anti-Ageing Intensive Skin Treatment Oil
Anti-Ageing Fine Line Face Oil
Hydrating Revitalising Face Oil
Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil
Inner Strength Soothing Face Oil
Mattifying Refining Face Oil

As you can see from the extensive list, you have an oil for every complaint!

The Anti-Ageing Intensive Skin Treatment Oil is great for dry areas of skin and for use directly on scarred skin. It contains Rosehip Oil which works as an inti-inflammatory while wheatgerm oil which is rich in Vitamin E aids skin regeneration.

The darkest in colour of all the oils this super rich treatment is slightly too heavy for my skin but smells incredible and would be perfect for skin in need of some real nourishment.

The Anti-Ageing Fine Line Face Oil is designed to plump and boost your skins appearance thanks to its blend of apple and raspberry seed oils which act as anti-oxidants and help with your skins collagen production.

Lighter in colour and scent it is a gorgeous oil that leaves my skin looking nourished without feeling heavy.

The Hydrating Revitalising Face Oil has been created simply to make your skin glow. Its blend of Rose and Frankincense help to restore your skins vitality, leaving a healthy, glowing complexion.

This a great all-rounder of a face oil that is perfect for most skin types and smells gorgeous too.

The Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil is super nourishing oil (if you hadn’t gathered that from its name!) Rose and Sandalwood work to smooth dry skin while stimulating your circulation, resulting in healthy, soft and beautiful looking skin.

I love the warm woody scent of this oil!

Next up is the Inner Strength Soothing Face Oil. Perfect to help soothe and calm stressed or irritated skin this oil contains camomile to reduce inflammation and Baobab seed oil to encourage cell regeneration.

This has to be my favourite oil because I often suffer skin flare up’s for no apparent reason and when I do I just want something that is going to calm the irritation. This oil does that perfectly.

He lightest in colour of all 6 oils it also possesses the most delicate aroma, gently calming your skin and helping to soften and soothe irritation without causing any additional damage.

Last but by no means least is the Mattifying Refining Face Oil which has been created to help reduce shine as Ylang Ylang helps to balance your skin and Lavender imparts its anti-septic qualities.

Smelling (as you may expect) of beautiful, delicate, relaxing lavender this is my day to day go-to oil of choice.

It allows my skin to be treated to all the benefits of a rich and opulent face oil, without any oily or greasy repercussions!

The 6 piece collections costs £53 which may sound like a lot BUT you actually get £83 worth of facial oils for that.

On top of that each bottle contains enough oil for an entire weeks worth of use which a pretty decent amount of time to road test each one.

The collection is great in several ways.

It can be bought and used as travel sizes when you’re jet setting but don’t want to take full sized bottles in your suitcase.

Its fab if you are looking to try a facial oil but aren’t sure which one would be best suited to your skin, so it allows you the opportunity to try several before committing to a full size bottle.

It is also perfect to be used in the way I mentioned at the start of my piece- as a capsule of oils that can be swapped and changed depending your skins individual, daily needs.

The Aromatherapy Associates Face Oil Collection is available now and costs £53.
