New Childs Farm Products!

We are HUGE Childs Farm fans in our house.

As an eczema sufferer from childhood I’ve always had to be very careful with the kind of products I use on my skin as many, many ingredients can cause a painful and irritating flare up.

When I had my kids and they started to exhibit signs of suffering with eczema too I immediately went on the hunt for suitable bathcare and bodycare products that they could use but also enjoy.

Like most children, mine LOVE a bubble bath, but if you suffer with eczema you’ll know that bubble baths are not generally good for your skin.

I didn’t want my kids to miss out so I was thrilled when I was introduced to Childs Farm.

Childs Farm are an award winning British brand that uses naturally derived ingredients and essential oils to produce a range of mild, kind and delicious smelling skincare products for kids.

Gentle enough to be used on even a newborns skin, these delicious sounding products are  Dermatologist and paediatrician approved as suitable for sensitive and also eczema-prone skin.

We are BIG fans of the new Blueberry and Mango bubble bath. Pour under warm running water and prepare for a fabulously fruity and fresh bathing experience.

You need to work a bit to froth up a decent amount of bubbles but its well worth it to see your kids delight in making bubble beards and having fun, all while the delicate formula provides a delicious good-enough-to-eat fragrance!

The Watermelon and Organic Pineapple hair and body wash is a real treat too! Sweet and juicy, my children smell practically edible after being washed in this!

Applied to a a warm, wet sponge it froths up beautifully, creating an abundance of lovely soft foamy bubbles to gently cleanse my childrens skin.

I’m not at all ashamed to admit that I may have used the majority of these products on myself. Well, if its good enough for my children its good enough for me!

You can check out the full range of Childs Farm products on their website now  where you can also purchase them.

Childs Farm

My little boy loves bath time almost as much as I do, but his sensitive skin meant that I had to ditch the fun bubbles and stick to scent free, boring washes and soaks.

Then I discovered Childs Farm products.

This multi award-winning British brand have created a wide range of bath and body products designed specifically for babies and children, even those with the most sensitive skin.

Their products are dermatologist and paediatrician approved, suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin and contain over 98% naturally derived ingredients.

They are free from parabens, SLSs, mineral oils and artificial colours, contain organic extracts and are so gentle that they are even suitable for newborn babies.

All of this alone already had me sold, but then I smelt the products.

Oh my gosh they smell AMAZING!!! So amazing in fact, that I have been known to use them myself.

Shhhh don’t tell my son!

I have a cupboard full of their products but my favourites are their Organic Raspberry Extract Bubble Bath (£3.99) which smells good enough to eat, their Strawberry and Organic Mint Shampoo (£3.99) which is divine and their new Blackberry and Organic Apple Hair and Body Wash (£3.99).

My son loves bathing with these products and they are indeed gentle enough for newborn skin as I have used them on my daughter from day 1 and she has never had any of the eczema related problems that my son had with other brands.

I cannot recommend Childs Farm products more highly.

You can buy Childs Farm bath, body and hair products online and from Boots as well as various other stores.

Aveeno Moisturising Lotion

As a child I suffered with eczema on my body, primarily on my legs and arms and while its super common, it’s also really irritating and horrible.

As an adult it is much better but I do still suffer with very dry skin on my legs and sometimes when it gets particularly bad I have to stop using my fancy, nice smelling moisturisers and turn to something a little more gentle.

One of the most trusted, gentle and effecting brands for sensitive skin is Aveeno and I can’t get enough of their moisturising lotion (RRP £12.89).

This light, non-greasy lotion quickly relieves sore, dry skin leaving skin feeling soft, nourished and moisturised.

It absorbed into your skin really quickly without a trace and offers immediate relief to dry, sensitive skin.

It is fragrance free and formulated with naturally active colloidal oatmeal which is proven to restore the skin’s natural barrier, preventing water loss.

It is so gentle on your skin that it can even be used on babies from 3 months old.

Its not a fancy, delicious smelling product, but then it’s not designed to be. It’s a hard working, gentle product that will offer some serious relief from the symptoms of dry, eczema prone skin and is in my opinion, worth its weight in gold.

Aveeno’s Moisturising Lotion is available along with other products in their sensitive collection from Boots.
