Revision Skincare Revox Line Relaxer

I began using anti-ageing skincare products around my mid twenties as I had read that prevention is better than cure.

I started rather modestly by introducing an eye cream and a targeted night time treatment, however now in my late thirties its time to up the ante.

Unfortunately for me, I still appear to suffer from hormonal breakouts, which can make finding suitable skincare that offers anti-ageing properties without provoking my temperamental skin somewhat problematic.

Anti-ageing creams tend to be quite rich which doesn’t sit at all well with my oily, acne prone complexion, but after a great deal of research I’m happy to say that I’ve found a product that does work for me.

That product is the clinically proven Revox Line Relaxer from Revision Skincare.

This advanced, targeted serum is quite literally, a game changer.

Presented in a sleek, chic black tube it is decidedly understated but don’t be fooled.

The product and the results speak for themselves.

This powerful anti-ageing tool has been designed to reduce the appearance of both horizontal and vertical lines, wrinkles and crows feet.

Unlike many anti-ageing serums or creams, the Revox Line Relaxer features a Zamac® stainless steel application tip, allowing for precise, targeted application while the coolness of the steel creates a refreshing, stimulating and soothing sensation.

Created with a host of potent, skin loving elements, it boasts an impressive ingredient list.

It has been formulated with a patent-pending ‘LineRelax™’ technology, which works to reduce the appearance of expression lines while a dermal support blend minimises the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid (our good old skincare friend) retains moisture to plump and hydrate tired, lacklustre skin which can contribute to the appearance of lines and wrinkles while an ingredient called ‘Inulin’ gets to work rebalancing your skin’s microbiome, supporting the overall health of your skin and improving hydration levels.

Meanwhile, antioxidant rich arnica montana flower extract helps to soothe your skin and protect against free radicals and environmental aggressors.

The result is smoother, softer, more radiant and crucially, younger looking skin.

Designed to be applied to problem areas twice daily, post cleansing and prior to moisturising, simply  dispense one pump and use the applicator to gently massage the serum onto any visible fine lines and wrinkles but bare in mind that only a thin layer is required, don’t go ott and slap it on.

The serum itself possesses no discernible scent (which I really like, particularly when applying it around my eye area) and feels wonderfully silky and light.

Transparent in colour it feels cool and smooth when applied directly onto my skin and is very quickly absorbed.

The areas that have been treated immediately feel soft and hydrated while the cooling applicator tip creates the sensation of your skin feeling more ‘awake’.

I’ve been using this targeted treatment as directed for a number of weeks and am confident in saying that my skin looks so much better.

My problem areas are my forehead and around my eyes and I’ve noticed that while I still have lines, their intensity and depth definitely appears to have reduced.

In fact, in clinical trials over a period of 12 weeks, 97% of participants also noticed a reduction in horizontal and vertical expression lines and under eye lines.

93% noticed a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and 90% saw an improvement in their skin texture and overall radiance.

I’m genuinely really impressed by the results and will certainly be repurchasing, however this where you may bawk.

The Revox Line Relaxer is not cheap, but that said its certainly far from being the most expensive treatment out there; think repeated (not to mention invasive) treatments of botox and other high-end skincare brands (I’m looking at you Crème de la Mer).

A 20ml tube will set you back £147, HOWEVER please bare in mind that you only require a small amount of product at a time plus for an anti-ageing treatment that has been clinically proven to be effective, I think its fairly reasonably priced.

Revision Skincare’s Revox Line Relaxer is available now and you can get your hands on it through their website here.

BareMinerals Brilliant Future Age Defense and Renew Serum

Brilliant Future Age Defense and Renew Serum is one of four new corrective treatments from cult brand bareMinerals.

These targeted treatment serums have been designed to treat different skin concerns, such as age prevention, skin volumising anti blemish and there is also an age prevention eye cream.

Each hero product contains mineral-ignited ingredients combined with different botanicals and naturally derived ingredients to create a powerful, gentle and effective treatment.

Now I’m in my thirties, skin ageing is one of my primary skin concerns so I opted to try their Brilliant Future Age Defense and Renew Serum (£42).

This particular corrective helps to address the early signs of ageing such as fine lines, skin fatigue and rough textured skin while renewing your skin’s natural luminosity through a variety of powerful, botanical ingredients.

Key Ingredients include;

Manganese: A mineral used to help support skin’s defense against signs of ageing.

Vitamin C: A valued nutrient used to help increase skin luminosity and radiance.

Chai Hu Extract: Referred to as the “harmony herb”, Chai Hu is known to help enhance skin’s resilience and resist visible signs of ageing.

Olive Leaf Extract: Used for centuries to promote beauty and wellness, and valued today for enhancing skin’s vibrancy.

Youth Peptide: Designed to help combat the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The serum itself (aside from being a bugger to photograph!) is gorgeous.

Housed within a simple yet chic, heavy glass bottle with a precision dropper the milky white serum almost has an iridescent quality to it.

Lightweight and instantly absorbed it immediately brightens your skin and is particularly brilliant at helping to make you look more vibrant and awake of a morning!

It possesses a really delicate scent which actually is barely noticeable and leaves your skin feel soft and smooth from the first application.

Designed to be used after cleansing and prior to moisturising, I’ve been using it twice a day for a month and I’m really thrilled with the results.

I love that you can see an immediate difference when using the product in terms of your skins luminosity and after 4 weeks of use my skin is noticeably softer, feels more toned and generally looks more vibrant.

While I can’t say that I’ve noticed a huge difference to my fine lines, they’ve certainly got no worse and I reckon that due to the overall appearance of healthier and more radiant skin they are perhaps slightly less noticeable.

If you’re on the look-out for a new anti ageing serum then I can highly recommend the new bareMinerals Brilliant Future Age Defense and Renew Serum which is available now and costs £42.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

When I saw a photo that Megan Fox had posted on Instagram of products she uses to restore her post pregnancy skin, I knew I had to try them.

Yes, I’m well aware that using them will not make me look like Megan Fox, but her skin is exquisite and if I can have skin like hers id be pretty damn happy!

One of the products that I instantly recognised was Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair.

I have been umming and aahing about trying this serum for a while but after seeing Megan’s recommendation I decided it was time to give it a go.

Well, I wish I had tried it sooner!

This hero product has been designed to reduce the look of all key signs of ageing to create a smoother, more radiant, younger look.

There is some serious technology behind this product and I’ll try to make it as simple as possible!
The serum is designed to address the look of all key signs of ageing with an exclusive ChronoluxCB  Technology to help with your skin's natural nightly renewal.

It contains Catabolysis technology (purifying), which is a complex of active ingredients that includes an algae extract and a yeast extract that is proven to support skin cell' natural catabolysis activity.

It also features something called Chronolux technology (synchronizing) a powerful, patented clock gene technology that helps support the natural synchronizations of skin's night time process so that skin renews itself at exactly the right time.

Sounds impressive right?

The serum itself is wonderfully lightweight, oil and fragrance free and is absorbed into cleansed skin instantly.

Designed to be used nightly and before moisturising, this gorgeous serum leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed and after daily use for several weeks I’m seriously impressed.

My skin feels softer and dare I say, more luminous. Dry patches have disappeared and I feel like my skintone is more even.

Fine lines around my eyes appear slightly less visible and in general my skin just looks more beautiful, to the extent that on several days I ditched my foundation and just opted for a dab of concealer, unheard of for me.

I can totally see why Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair is one of Megan Fox’s hero products because it’s just become one of mine!

You can get your hands on this wonder serum now where 30ml costs £52.
