Laura Mercier Lip Stain In Mulberry

This weekend I had the pleasure of trying out one of the products from Laura Mercier’s new collection, Arabesque, the inspiration from which came from the spirit of light and movement.

The makeup is soft and fresh and the shades are a blend of pinks, blues and neutrals.

Lips, cheeks and nails look softly romantic, highlighted in subtle pinks while eyes wear a gentle palette of semi-matte shades, with a gradation of colours from blue to blush.

I tried out this gorgeous Lip Stain in shade Mulberry.

Unlike other lip stains which tend to be in a liquid form, this stain has the look, feel and texture of a lip balm.

Don’t be fooled though, it provides the full effect of a stain but with the subtle sheen and comfort of a lip gloss or balm.

The stain is thick yet non sticky or gloopy and glides over your lips to give you fabulous, even coverage.

I Love this product, not just for the seductive, deep red colour but for its nourishing properties too.

I find that my lips are left dry and dehydrated with other lip stains, but with this product my lips have all the long lasting colour of a stain but without the tight, dry feeling.

If you aren’t a big lippie fan, it’s the perfect way to enjoy pigmented lips without the drying effect of lipstick and similarly if you love lip balms but hate the way the colour doesn’t last, this product will work great for you.

Laura Mercier’s new Arabesque collection is available now and the Lip Stain in Mulberry retails at £16.50
