And The New Galaxy Girl Is...

I know this Isn’t beauty related but I just had to share this with you!

Galaxy chocolate have revealed today the new face of their yummy chocolate, and you’ll never guess who it is!

(Well you will if you’ve seen the photos on this post!)

Galaxy have brought back to life, the one and only Audrey Hepburn and this Sunday 24^th February sees her return to our  screens in their new advertising campaign which will be aired during ITV1’s Mr Selfridge.

The star is brought back to life using cutting edge post-production CGI techniques, to create what appears to be never-before-seen footage of Audrey in a GALAXY® advert.

Set in the 1950s on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the setting is reminiscent of the romantic look and feel of award-winning classics that shot Audrey to fame. 

The narrative sees Audrey, a beautiful young girl, sitting on a crowded bus wondering when she will have the chance to enjoy the GALAXY® chocolate bar hidden in her handbag. 

As a car pulls up alongside, she catches the handsome driver’s eye and, to the surprise of her fellow passengers, seizes the opportunity to leave the bus to savour her GALAXY® chocolate in the comfort of the car’s back seat. 

As the handsome ‘chauffeur’ drives them into the distance, the end-frame reminds viewers that with its silky, smooth taste, GALAXY® is a pleasure worth taking.

Audrey Hepburn’s sons, Sean Ferrer and Luca Dotti, commented:

 “Our mother often spoke about her love of chocolate and how it lifted her spirit so we're sure she would have been proud of her role as the face of GALAXY®.  

The advert perfectly captures her playful spirit and we hope audiences enjoy it as much as they enjoyed her movies."

Marc Jacobs Sunshine Editions!

Calling all Marc Jacob’s fragrance fans.

Next week see’s the launch of three of Marc Jacob’s best selling feminine, floral fragrances, reworked with a bit of a summery twist!

Daisy sunshine, Daisy eau so fresh sunshine, and Oh, Lola! sunsheer are limited edition fragrances inspired by sun-kissed pleasures.

(Believe it or not, spring really is just round the corner, though I appreciate it doesn’t feel like it just yet!)

The new collection has been designed to glow with energy and vibrant bursts of colour for an instant boost of happiness.

Its not just the fragrance that has been re-worked, but the gorgeous bottles too, with their bright summery shades!

Daisy Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine Edition (£45)

My favourite fragrance, the daisy sunshine edition is a brighter version of the iconic daisy fragrance. The heart blooms with notes of spring blossoms and lychee before drying down to a velvety base of apricot and musky woods.

heart: lily of the valley, violet, lychee

base: apricot skin, blonde woods, musks

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Edition (£48)

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Edition is bolder and fruitier version of the original with a fruity top, floral heart and a smooth, velvety base with just a hint of sweetness.

top: strawberry, apple blossom, pink grapefruit

heart: jasmine petals, day lily, rose

base: violet leaf, white oak moss, amber wood

Oh, Lola! Marc Jacobs Sunsheer Edition (£47)

Oh, Lola! Sunsheer Edition is a much lighter, fresher interpretation of the original which I really liked. The fragrance opens with top notes of raspberry that blossoms into a heart of peonies and dries with vanilla.

heart: peony, magnolia, cyclamen

base: vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean

Did the fragrances really need to be re-worked? No, they smell amazing already.

Do I like these new sunnier versions of the fragrances? Yes I defiantly do.

They are lighter, less heady versions of the originals encased within bottles that are nothing short of works of art.

The Marc Jacobs Sunshine Fragrances are available from February 27^th.
