It’s rare that I come across a beauty product that I fall in love with to the point that I don’t want to use it for fear of ruining its beauty.

By Terry’s Brightening CC Serum Powder is however one of these items that is just so jaw droppingly beautiful that I can hardly bear to use it.

I say ‘hardly bear’ because of course, I do use it, but I mean come on, look at it!

This stunning compact is a powder version of their iconic Brightening Serum.

This unique powder harnesses the skincare properties of a serum and CC cream and turns it into a multi-purpose powder that evens out skin tones and offers a natural-looking, sheer glow.

The powder captures the light to boost your natural radiance in just one stroke, blurring imperfections and adjusting your skins luminosity to create a complexion that glows.

Enriched with regenerating and hydrating Rosehip Oil, it creates a unique colour correction thanks to its Optical Glow technology which smooths the skin’s texture by multidirectional optical reflection.

Infused with a rosehip extract the powder is delicately scented like beautiful, fresh roses, offering you a multi sensorial experience.

Its ultra-fine, creamy texture practically melts into your skin and instantly lifts your complexion thanks to its clever light-reflecting prismatic pearl particles.

Subtle and soft rather than glittery or shimmery, it is subtle enough to be barely distinguishable yet noticeable enough to pick up and revive a dull, lacklustre complexion.

When applied over the top of your make up it creates a lit-from-within glow and its versatile properties also allow it to be used as a highlighter, blush or bronzer depending on which shade you opt for.

The powder is available in 4 universal flattering shades and my favourite is the one pictured, Rose Elixir.

N°2 Rose Elixir is perfect for restoring a hint of flush colour to dull complexions and works beautifully as a highlighter on your cheek and brow bones too.

The powder is so silky soft it almost becomes one with your own skin and the soft, subtle scent of roses it leaves behind lingers for hours. Its just gorgeous.

Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam

Benefit’s Dandelion Shy Beam Liquid Highlighter is possibly one of the most subtle highlighters I’ve come across.

This soft-matte, nude pink liquid has been designed to create the softest, non-shimmery look allowing your radiance to shine through.

Contouring and highlighting can be a bit of a ‘mare sometimes and it can take a while to get the nack of it, highlighting particularly.

I may have been known to have gone a little OTT with my highlighter sometimes and occasionally, maybe, end up resembling a glitter ball at best or a shiny looking mess at worst.

This liquid highlighter is almost my exact skin tone in colour, if slightly lighter and doesn’t contain a hint of shimmer.

When I first applied it, it was so subtle I was pretty sure I couldn’t even see it!

 

It wasn’t until my skin caught the light in the right way that I could see a subtle difference in the areas I had used it on.

My cheekbones and brow bones appeared to be subtly more prominent and radiant, just without the familiar shimmer I’d normally see with other highlighters.

While the formula and its subtle colour works well on my skin, if you are any darker than me then I’m not sure Shy Beam will work for you.

While it does blend in well, I think you may struggle to make it work on darker skin tones and it may look a little like you’ve applied foundation that is too light for your skin.

For pale and light skin tones like me however, it’s a great product and is perfect for creating a natural day look.
