Darphin Intral Collection New Launches

If like me you suffer with or are prone to experience bouts of sensitive skin then this post is for you.
Allow me to introduce you to two new products from Darphin’s Intral collection.

Created with sensitive skin in mind that is prone to redness the new launches feature a Toner with Camomile (£30) and a Redness Relief Recovery Balm (£48).

These gentle and soothing products soothe even the most sensitive of skins and contain a cocktail of plants and aromas, helping to tackle sensitivity and leave skin feeling calmed, comfortable and radiant.

I’ve fallen in love with this pretty, pink Toner and believe it or not, it actually allows me to begin to feel soothed just by inhaling its soft, delicate aroma!

This stunning lotion has been infused with Chamomile, renowned for its decongesting and anti-redness properties which has been blended with the Darphin Calm Complex.

Designed to be used after your cleanser, it helps to calm and soothe skin troubled by redness, irritation and intolerance.

Gentle on your skin and non-drying, it features a soft, subtle scent which further adds to the calming experience and leaves your skin feeling soft and fresh without a hint of tightness.

When your skin really hits rock bottom and is screaming out for relief then the new Redness Relief Recovery Balm will sort you right out.

Created with dry to very dry skin in mind, this soothing and super nourishing balm features an  exclusive Calm Complex of 3 flowers (Hawthorn, Peony and Chamomile) along with Bran extract, Glycosaminoglycanes, Vitamin E and Mango Butter to soften and nourish your skin while helping to reduce redness.

These potent ingredients don’t just nourish, they also work to soothe and strengthen your skin’s natural barrier to better protect it against irritants, pollution and environmental stressors which can age your skin.

I expected a very thick, slightly greasy product as this product has been called a ‘balm’, but I was very surprised that it was not in the slightest bit greasy.

Rich, thick and extremely nourishing it is completely non greasy and despite its richness it was absorbed quickly, leaving behind no trace other than wonderfully moisturised and calmed skin.

My dry patches felt instantly refreshed and the tightness and discomfort eased almost immediately.

A little goes a long way with this product so you don’t need to pile it on to achieve softer, soothed skin which is a great reflection of just how fabulously it works.

This duo are not cheap I know, but if your skin can be troublesome you’ll know that you’d pay anything to restore balance and calm and these two products really do help.

Darphin’s Intral Toner and Redness Relief Recovery Balm are both available now along with the rest of the Intral Collection here.

XO Balm

XO Balm is the new, natural beauty solution for those of us (like me) who are suffering from eczema, contact dermatitis and dry skin.

One of the many issues I have when it comes to finding a moisturiser or product to help with my sore, dry skin is trying to find a product that won’t aggravate it further.

Fragrances, alcohols and preservatives sometimes irritate my skin further and actually make things worse rather than helping to ease the problem.

Lucky for me then that XO Balm comprises of just 4 active ingredients from completely natural origins.

This multi-purpose balm contains coconut oil, beeswax, chia seed oil and olive oil. That’s it.

Bonkers right? But what’s so beneficial about just these four ingredients?

So, coconut and olive oil are 100% natural emollients which help to nourish your skin, natural beeswax helps to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier and chia seed oil reduces skin itching and inflammation helping to  soothe discomfort and protect the skin.

Because XO is free from preservatives, sulphates and fragrances it avoids triggering any sensitivity and its scent comes purely from the natural beeswax and coconut oil.

Another issue I have all the time is finding a product that leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished for longer than 5 minutes after application.

Thankfully XO has this covered too due to the fact that it is a balm.

Greasy emollients and moisturisers can often be transferred from your skin to clothes really easily, and washed or wiped off your skin before they’ve really had a chance to sink in.

This balm sits on your skin with a matte finish and refuses to budge!

It doesn’t feel greasy, it doesn’t look shiny, it just feels silky and soft.

It is perfect for really sore, stubborn areas of dry, cracked skin that need some serious tlc and it offers immediate relief which is awesome.

I love popping a generous blob of balm onto troublesome areas before I go to bed and letting it work its magic overnight, leaving my skin feeling softer and more comfortable come the morning.

XO Balm is available now and costs £12.50.

The Beauty Kitchen Wonder Balm

It’ll come as no surprise to my regular readers to hear that I love a multi-tasking product.

Perfect for busy people and often a good way to save some pennies, I am always on the lookout for products that have more than one use.

One such product that I recently discovered that fulfils this need of mine is called ‘Wonder Balm’ and is from a brand called The Beauty Kitchen.

These super cute balms all contain beeswax, cocoa butter and Abyssinian Oil to offer super nourishing and moisturising properties and are also all paraben and sulphate free.

(Abyssinian Oil by the way is a turbo charged version of argan oil, is rich in omega 3 and is light, non greasy and super hydrating. just letting you know because I didn’t know what it was either!)

Available in six different scents, they contain no synthetic fragrances and yet manage to smell utterly gorgeous.

I tested out three of the six scents and have to say, loved all of them!

Love Me smells like Christmas with warm cinnamon leaf and comforting patchouli.

Spoil Me contains a high grade essential oil blend of cedarwood, orange sweet and aniseed and reminds me vaguely of Black Jack sweets!

Chill Me, as the name suggests is a relaxing smelling balm and includes lavender, eucalyptus and clary sage.

These compact, recycled tins of joy are perfect for popping in your handbag and are great for sore chapped lips, dry cuticles or applying to really dry areas on your body such as knees and elbows.

To be honest, the Chill Me balm has such a beautiful scent I’ve even used it to massage into my temples to aid sleep at night!

The best bit is each little tin costs just £2.99 or you can buy the whole collection from The Beauty Kitchen for just £12!
