M.A.C Viva Glam Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is everywhere these days and her latest collaboration is with none other than M.A.C with the launch of her Viva Glam Lipstick and Lipglass.

The Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipstick comes in a deep dark plum shade, is matte in texture and effect and costs £15.

The Viva Glam Ariana Grande Lipglass is a light shimmering pink and costs £14.50 and the full RRP less V.A.T. from both products goes towards helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV and Aids.

I don’t think I’d be brave enough to wear such a daring shade of lippie but the gloss certainly looks really pretty and with the proceeds going to such a great cause its definately worth a cheeky purchase.

Both products are available from M.A.C online now and available in stores from feb 4th.

Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo

Candlelight Glow is the stunning new highlighting powder duo from Too Faced.

They’ve revamped their bestselling highlighter and added a new shade Warm Glow, a gorgeous champagne and peach combo.

These beautiful compacts contain something called Photolite technology which diffuses and refracts light to create glowing skin and the beauty of the dual shaded powders allows you to customise your own perfect shade.

Embossed with the motif of a decadent chandelier, these compacts look far too pretty to use, but obviously, you really should use them!

Warm Glow

Personally, Rosy Glow is my favourite with its super soft powder and sheer gold and pretty rose pink tones which helps to brighten my face without a hint of dreaded sparkle!

It flatters my pale complexion without making me look like a glitter ball, offering a delicate glow that makes my skin look fresh and healthy.

Rosy Glow

If you have oilier skin like me then powder highlighters really are the way to go as opposed to fluids or creams which can sit heavily on your skin and if you’re after a subtle yet stunning look then the new Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo’s are just the thing for you.

Both varieties (Rosy Glow & Warm Glow) will cost £25 each and will be available from Debenhams and TooFaced.com from February.

Alpha-H Absolute Lip Perfector

I love a good lip balm, let’s be honest, who doesn’t. They are a staple of most people’s beauty regimes and during winter months, I consider them to be a necessity!

Sometimes however, just a regular run of the mill balm isn’t quite enough to soothe and protect your lips and you need something with a little more pizzazz, a lip treatment for example.

Alpha-H’s Absolute Lip Perfector is a multi tasking lip treatment which has been designed to nourish, protect and lock in moisture for softer, fuller lips.

This little tube of lip loving joy is a combined serum and balm which is infused with peppermint and wild mint to offer a fresh and retro scent.

It contains Zinc Oxide to reduce irritation and inflammation on dry chapped lips and also provides a broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection which is so important.

Honeycomb extract nourishes and conditions and a blend of super micronized hyaluronic acid and collagen boosting Tripeptide-1 plumps, redefines and minimises fine vertical lines to reduce the signs of ageing and keeps the lip contour more firm and supple.

Also, the micronied moisture particles are able to penetrate the delicate lip tissue area where they swell to increase lip volume as well as aiding moisture retention.

Told you it was so much more than just a lip balm!

On first inspection it doesn’t look like anything special. It is a fairly light balm that is absorbed quickly into your lips leaving a soft sheen and a slightly tingly peppermint sensation.

It is non greasy and sits on your lips for some time meaning you don’t need to continually reapply it which is great.

Lips instantly begin to feel softer and more moisturised and unlike some other balms which just sit on top like a film, you really can feel that this balm penetrating the lip area and repairing it.

After 3 days of using this exclusively I’m pleased to say that my lips feel beautifully soft and plump and any dry chapped areas that once were are no longer there.

In terms of noticing its plumping qualities, I can’t say I noticed a huge difference, neither with regards to fine lines around my lip but perhaps I need to give it a bit more time.

That said, for those of you hunting for the perfect lip balm that will actually help your super sore, dry chapped lips and actually works, you should really try this.

I know it’s not cheap at £19.99 for 10ml BUT a little goes a long way and just have a re-read of all the lip loving ingredients this lip perfector contains. Can your regular balm boast the same?

Didn’t think so.

The Alpha-H Absolute Lip Perfector costs £19.99 and is available now QVC, M&S Beauty, BeautyBay.com, CultBeautyco.uk, LookFantastic.com and Mankind.co.uk.
