The PixiGLOW Tinkerbell Collection: Pixi Fairy Face Palette

Three weeks ago i received a most exciting email.

It was an invitation to a product launch and i literally cannot remember the last time i have been so excited about attending a launch.

‘’You are cordially invited to experience the magic of pixiGLOW’’

Ooooh, PixiGLOW sounds pretty cool i thought. I read on further.

‘’Inspired by Disney’s most iconic fairy, Tinkerbell’’

I felt my heart skip a beat.

Tinkerbell!!!

She was one of my most favourite Disney characters!  Pretty, dainty, magical and mischievous!

I was a little concerned that a makeup brand like Pixi, which is synonymous with ‘fresh, natural beauty’ may betray its most fundamental elements by having a Disney inspired range as there could be the danger for the collection to be a little too juvenile, young, and pink.

I was wrong.

The limited edition PixiGlow Tinkerbell collection includes:

Fairy Face Palette in Pixi Belle, £32
 Pirouette Pink Nail Colour
Catching Shadows Crayon in Beaming Reflection, £12
Fairy Dust in Moonlit Luster, £10
Magic Tink Tint in Happy Thoughts, £10
Straight on Til’ Morning Liner, £9.50

Firstly may i draw your attending to the beautiful illustrations and art work. Not overtly cutesy or girly but sophisticated And vintage-esq i immediately fell in love with it.

I have far too much to say about this collection in one post so please bare with me and allow me to begin with the magical Pixi Fairy Face Palette (£32).

Encased within an enchanting compact kit you will find 5 stunning eyeshadows, 5 cream lip colours and a 3 tone blusher complete with brushes.

The eyeshadows are all highly pigmented and are all very wearable, pretty shades which are perfect for all skintones.

The lip creams are wonderfully moisturising and subtle in colour but can be built on to create a more powerful shade if desired.

The blush is a gorgeous, universally wearable shade that compliments the shadows and lip colours perfectly. It also has a lovely, slightly mettalic fairy-esq shimmer to it.

Despite the Disney Fairy take on the range, as a 26 year old woman i certainly wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen with this collection.

Its sophisticated and yet still appeals to the child within all of us that secretly wishes she was a Disney Princess or indeed, a Pixi or Fairy!

The Palette is available from Pixibeauty.co.uk and selected Boots stores now.

Stay tuned for reviews of the other PixiGLOW products soon.
