Featuring a deeply relaxing and comforting blend of lavender and chamomile essential oil, their collection of products are guaranteed to be a hit be cause who doesn’t love a little pampering and R&R.

Their Gift Of Sleep Set (£20) Is a great introduction to the brand it is the perfect duo to help you drift off into a peaceful slumber.

Light the delicately scented candle an hour or so prior to bedtime and enjoy as the calming, quieting aromas fill your room.

Breathe in the relaxing aroma and feel your troubles melt away.

(Just don’t forget to blow it out before you actually do fall asleep!)

Next, spritz the pillow spray over your pillow and the top part of your bedding as you get into bed and feel yourself physically and mentally unwind and relax.

Fancy something a little different?

Take a look at the Feather & Down Sleep Stones (£18).

Presented in a deep blue presentation box and nestled safely inside in a gold tin you’ll find a plethora of porous black stones along with a small bottle of essential oil.

Much in the same way a scented candle or diffuser works, these stones help to fragrance your home with the same soothing sent as the pillow spray and candle.

To use, simply place the tin on a flat surface and empty the stones into the tin.

Add some drops of the essential oil directly onto the stones to release the calming aroma of lavender and chamomile.

Make sure you top up the stones with the essential oil every evening to prolong the relaxing experience.

I’ve never seen such a product before and I must admit I really like it!

It looks ‘different’ and is naturally safter than burning candles, though candles will always hold a special place in my heart.

Considering the cost of some competitor products I think these are really reasonably priced and make beautiful looking gifts.

You can get your hands on these products plus a whole host of other Feather & Down goodies online now.

L'Occitane Cocon de Serenite Relaxing Pillow Mist

I love going to bed. Along with my evening skincare regime, it’s my favourite time of the day!

However, as a busy mum of two I can struggle when it comes to drifting off to sleep or indeed, staying asleep.

Restless nights result in tired, long drawn own days and it really affects my daily life.

Modern life can be stressful and sometimes it’s not just important but necessary to take a little time to relax and unwind.

Luckily L’Occitane’s new Art De Vivre Home collection have just the selection of products that can help you to relax and recharge.

Step into Provence and immerse yourself with enveloping scents of indulgence and well being with their home collection, featuring products infused with essential oils to soothe your body and mind.

My favourite item for this new range is their Cocon de Serenite Relaxing Pillow Mist (£19.50).

The Cocon de Serenite range is a deeply relaxing collection which promises a moment of indulgent and peaceful serenity.

Formulated with a blend of essential oils known for their relaxing properties, the range comprises of a scented candle, soap, perfume refill (for use with a diffuser) and of course, the pillow spay.

Featuring 100% natural scent, the spray is designed to be used in your bedroom 15 minutes prior to going to bed.

The luxurious spray contains a blend of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) Lavender Essential Oil, known for its soothing and purifying properties, Sweet Orange Essential Oil with its soothing and relaxing properties and Geranium Flowers Essential Oil which is known for its purifying and astringent properties.

Combined with sweet orange, bergamot and mandarin it offers a moment of pure relaxation, quieting your mind and allowing you to breathe in the restorative and calming qualities of the scent.

Top notes of wholesome, soothing Petitgrain, Lavander and Geranium mix with heart notes of sparkling Orange, Orange Blossom and Mandarin before base notes of comforting Rose, Basil and Mint Leaves leave a decadent, botanical and beautiful scent.

Unlike many other pillow sprays which can be exceptionally heavy on the lavender notes, the Cocon de Serenity Pillow Spray offers a much more well-rounded, multi-faceted aroma which is ideal for those who aren’t keen on lavender.

I adore this restorative, luxurious, soothing spray and since using it I’ve noticed that I’ve been able to fall asleep much faster than without it.

Discover the new L’Occitane home collection in store or online now where you’ll also find the new Cocon de Serenity Pillow Spray which costs £19.50.

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion

I’ll do pretty much anything for a good nights sleep.

Without at least 8 hours of solid slumber I’m a nightmare to be around, as I’m sure my husband and kids would attest to!

When I saw all the stuff in the news the other week about Lush Cosmetics Sleepy body lotion which several people said had helped both them and their kids to sleep better, I knew I had to try it.

I’m already pretty familiar with a wide range of brands and products designed to aid with sleep so know from personal experience that some products do actually work, but I always try to be a bit sceptical.

I excitedly placed my order online and waited eagerly for it to arrive.

I had expected Sleepy to smell much like many of the other sleep-inducing products I’d tried before- quite heady, heavy on the lavender and potent.

I was really pleasantly surprised that actually Sleepy is wonderfully soft, delicate and malty in scent rather than powerful and floral.

Made with an oatmeal infusion, lavender flower, cocoa butter and tonka absolute, this lotion smells like you are applying a warm, frothy, sweet hug all over your body.

Now, at £13.95 for 215g I thought it was quite pricey, particularly knowing how much body lotion I tend to apply at one go so I was a bit worried it wouldn’t last long.

Fortunately when my pot arrived and I dove in I quickly realised this lotion is SUPER rich.

Described as a lotion, I’d actually be more inclined to call it a cream on account of its richness.

A little goes a long way and it does a fab job of leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth and I’m pleased to say that it didn’t irritate or aggravate my sensitive skin.

So, it smells delicious and feels sumptuous but did it help me to sleep better?

Jury’s out on that one for the moment. I will say that it certainly helped me to relax and I really enjoy its delicate and sweet aroma which lasts for ages by the way.

Lush’s Sleepy body lotion is available now and costs £7.95 for 95g or £13.95 for 215g.
