Minajesty Nicki Minaj Exotic Edition

I love Nicki Minaj’s fragrances and Minajesty Nicki Minaj Exotic Edition is no different.

Cute, stylish, and Glamorous Minajesty Exotic features another fabulous looking Barbz to add to the collection.

Donning a blonde, wavy wig, a playful, black bustier and a slick of pink lippie, the newest “doll” in Minaj’s fragrance portfolio is vibrant, magnetic and full-on glam.

Nicki Says of the fragrance;

I hope this fragrance inspires my Barbz to feel positive and fearless. Every girl loves the thrill of adventure. Exotic to me, represents that crazy feeling you get from taking a risk and getting out of your comfort zone.

It’s a deliciously fruity, musky and very wearable fragrance which I can see appealing to a wide range of women, not just Minaj fans.

Top notes of bergamot, orange and mango offer a fruity, delicious sensation.

Heart notes of tiger lilies, lavender blossom and petals create a floral oasis.

The sensuous drydown offers an exotic warmth of creamy musk and cedar wood, rounding off the fragrance perfectly and preventing it from being too saccharine-y.

I described the fragrance to someone the other day as being ‘addictive’ smelling. It’s hard to describe how a fragrance smells, but it’s addictive to me!

The scent lasts for ages too and I’m a big fan of the lovely musky scents that linger once the initial fruitiness has worn off, almost like benefiting from wearing two different fragrances!

Minajesty Nicki Minaj Exotic Edition Eau de Parfum is available now and costs £29.99.

Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE

L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE is the latest fragrance from Stella McCartney.

Framed in gold, L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE is a sensual, sophisticated and very personal fragrance.

The fragrance comes from Stella’s love of contracts; masculine and feminine, dark and light and it certainly comes across in the smell!

Woody notes are contrasted with floral ones to create a deep scent.

I view this fragrance as being a bit like Marmite- you’ll either love it or you won’t.

Notes of black truffle and black pepper give way to lily of the valley and pink pepper, then dry white woods, patchouli and amber.

There is no denying that the bottle is exquisite, a work of art almost, inspired by English cut-crystal vases with a modern twist.

Now, at £58.50 for 50ml this a relatively expensive fragrance.

If you are a fan of the original L.I.L.Y I highly recommend you try L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE. If you are a fan of delicate, non-committal fragranced I’d give it a miss.

This fragrance has been designed for a confident, modern woman, so if that’s you, this perfume is for you.

L.I.L.Y ABSOLUTE is available now.

Laura Ashley New Eau De Parfum Collection

October 3rd sees Laura Ashley launch three gorgeous fragrances, Pink Petals, Green Meadow and Floral Heart. They have teamed up with the Perfume Designer Azzi Glasser to, in their words ‘Add Artisan back into perfumes of today’.

The fragrances very much embrace the luxurious lifestyle that Laura Ashley are so well known for, from the design of the bottle, to the fragrance itself.

I need to make this very clear- I LOVE the bottles. They are so simple, elegant and the diamond-esq appearance of the lid really does evoke images of classic Hollywood glamour. The bottle would not look out of place on the dressing table of a 1940’s starlet!

The three fragrances are very different in their scent and therefore span a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Green Meadow is by far and away my personal favourite.

Green Meadow
Evoking memories of a green meadow with wild flowers is not far off what I could picture when smelling this perfume. It’s a lovely delicate, subtle, fresh and soft smelling fragrance.

Floral Heart has a stronger scent, with notes of Violet leaves, plum, Rose de Mai and Magnolia.

Floral Heart

Pink Petals I found the sweetest smelling of the three, with heart notes of Rose, Frangipani and Muget and with musky, sandalwood base notes. I found this fragrance a little heady for me, but fragrances are so subjective that one person’s cubic zirconium is another’s diamond!

Pink Petals

I think its fair to say that the three fragrances are so varied in scent that they are likely to appeal to a huge range of women of all ages, and who wouldn’t want something as pretty as them adorning their dressing table?

Laura Ashley’s new Eau De Parfum Collection is available from the 3rd October online and in store.

Eau de Parfum 50ml  £36, Eau de Parfum 100ml £48 and a gift set of all three fragrances, 30ml each £48.
