BEAUTY PIE

OK, so, have you heard of a brand called BEAUTY PIE? No? Man you’re missing out big time.

BEAUTY PIE is a beauty brand unlike any other.

To quote the guys themselves;

BEAUTY PIE is the first ever buyers club for beauty addicts. Members have access to luxury products, from world's leading beauty labs, but can buy up to 5X MORE for their money!

You wont find BEAUTY PIE on the high street and that’s because it’s an online retailer only.

Like many luxury brands they do not manufacture their own luxury skincare and makeup, rather, they source their products from around 20 of the worlds leading labs who manufacture their best formulations for BEAUTY PIE members.

The premise is simple. For a small monthly subscription you are allocated a corresponding spending limit based on the typical (high end) prices of the products on the website.

However, you do not pay the high end price, you pay a ridiculously discounted price allowing you to indulge and enjoy the luxury of some of the best products out there without beggaring yourself!

You have access to the same luxury, quality cosmetics and high performance skincare, without paying for the middlemen, the celebrity marketing or retailer costs.

So without getting too technical, you can sign up to a range of monthly memberships ranging from £5 a month which allows you a monthly spending limit of £50 up to £20 a month giving you a £200 spending limit or if you’re proper hardcore, £99 for a year’s subscription which allows you a £100 spending limit a month plus two months free.

PLUS any unused spending limit will roll over onto the next month so you never lose out.

I recently signed up to their mini monthly £5 membership to give it a go and I am nothing but impressed!

For my first order I chose;

Wondergloss Lip Oil in Nude Nectar RRP £26 – I paid £4.84
Smart Powder Blush in Ring My Bell RRP £18– I paid £4.04
One Powder Wonder RRP £26– I paid £5.32
Super Moisture Lip Balm RRP £16– I paid £6.07

That order (including my £5 membership fee) came to £23.63. If I had bought those products as a non-member it would have set me back £86.

BONKERS isn’t it!

PLUS for a limited time they’re giving you a £50 top up limit on your first order AND if you do decide to join then use THIS LINK and as a thanks you’ll receive your first months membership for FREE!

I’m going to spend some time in the coming week focusing on individual items from the BEAUTY PIE range because its safe to say that I’m already well and truly hooked on this brand but today I’d like to give a little mention to the Super Moisture Lip Balm, because lip balm’s are one of my most favourite things!

Housed within a small, chic, understated glass jar with white lid you’ll find the thickest richest, most delicious smelling lip balm of dreams.

99.4% natural this decadent balm is enriched with a host of skin loving, nourishing ingredients to leave  your lips feeling hydrated, soft, plump and beautiful.

Avocado oil nourishes, shea butter softens, sweet Almond Oil offers a soothing element while
With a scent reminiscent of a vanilla-coconut hybrid it is an absolute pleasure to use and its nourishing qualities last for ages on account of the thickness and richness of the balm itself.

This was the very first item I tried and I was immediately impressed.

I’m onto my second box now and I’m yet to be disappointed!

In fact, here’s a sneak peek of the simply gorgeous Futurelipstick Luxe Shine in Pinkyum which cost me just £4.33 which without my £5 membership would have set me back £20.

If like me you adore luxury cosmetics and skincare but can’t justify the often hefty price tags that go along with them then I implore you to give BEAUTY PIE a go. What do you have to lose?

Don't forget, if you decide to join then use THIS LINK and as a thanks you’ll receive your first months membership for FREE!

YSL Dessin Des Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil

YSL Dessin Des Sourcils is without a doubt, the best eyebrow pencil that I have EVER used- and I’ve used a lot.

I have two major issues with most eyebrow pencils.

Firstly, I find it almost impossible to find the correct shade for my dark brown brows. The pencils are either too light with that horrid orangey under-tint or literally jet black. It’s like there’s no in-between.

My hair is naturally very dark brown, but black it is not and black pencils are way too harsh, while the majority of dark brown pencils are still too light, or for some unknown reason, way too orangey.

Anyone else find this? Anyway…

Secondly, while I appreciate the benefits of a softer pencil when you’re for example, wanting to line your eyes, I detested a soft eyebrow pencil. This is on account of my oily-combination skin.

I have trouble with my make-up literally sliding off my face throughout the day thanks to my overly active skin glands. Add into the mix a soft, waxy pencil and I can nigh on guarantee that by 2pm my eyebrows will be glistening un-naturally and if I’m really unlucky, may have slipped down my face.

As I’m sure you’ll agree, neither is a great look.

It makes it hard to apply from the get go too- even if I powder my brows, a soft pencil just seems to melt into my skin instantly upon application which make precision application impossible and just leaves my brows looking a thick, sloppy mess.

I was soooo happy when I discovered this brilliant pencil from YSL.

It is the most perfect match to my natural brow shade- 05 ebony. Now I know it says ebony but as you can see from my swatches it really isn’t black. It’s the deepest, darkest brown but it is definitely not black.

In terms of softness it is really quite a hard texture- it doesn’t melt into my skin and it absolutely stays in place all day long with no slippage.

Its sharp, precise nip allows for perfect application and the spoolie on the opposite end helps to soften and blend your strokes into your own brow seamlessly.

At £21 it is not cheap, BUT it is worth every single penny to find a pencil that matches perfectly and stays put!

YSL’s Dessin Des Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil is available in 4 shades and costs £21.

Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm

I really don’t care what you say, I maintain that you can never own too many decent lip balms. There is simply no such thing as 'too many'.

Lip balm is one of those products that you will ALWAYS need and unlike many other skincare products, you will ALWAYS use.

It’s for those reasons that when I realised that luxury Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza had their own lip balm, I knew I had to try it.

Now I’m going to be honest from the start and say that this is one of the most expensive lip balms that I own. Priced at £32 for 10ml this Perfecting Lip Balm it is pretty expensive, BUT it is a hell of a lip balm. In fact it is now an award winner having been awarded ‘Best Lip Balm’ at the Beauty Shortlist Awards 2018.

‘But what’s so good about it?’ I hear you ask. Well I’ll tell you.

Contained within a compact, chic glass jar with white lid adorned with the Omorovicza logo this pretty, pale pink balm plumps your lips, smooths and nourishes imperfections and provides long lasting hydrating all day long.

Enriched with Shea Butter and Eucalyptus Oil this balm creates a gentle, tingling sensation upon application and leaves your lips feeling full and soft.

It also contains hyaluronic filling spheres to offer deep hydration to your lips, leaving them feeling softer and smoother than ever before.

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide helps to subtly increase lip volume over prolonged use and Omega 6 Ceramide helps to replenish dehydrated skin and restores softness and elasticity.

Those are some pretty fab sounding ingredients I’m sure you’ll agree.

The balm itself is soft, rich and thick in texture. It possesses a pleasant, delicate hint of eucalyptus and when applied to your lips, literally glides on and into place.

You can feel its thickness and richness but it doesn’t feel heavy, gloopy or sticky on your lips.

It creates this really nice cooling sensation when first applied, along with a barely detectably tingling.

Don’t worry, it isn’t like a lip plumper which can make your lips feel like they’re on fire, it is very, very subtle.

My lips were left feeling instantly hydrated and nourished and in turn, looked and felt fuller.

I love the subtle sheen that the balm offers and often choose to wear this alone in lieu of any other lip product.

That said, it can also be used as a fabulous overnight intensive lip treatment when your lips are in need of some serious TLC or as a great plumping and priming treatment prior to your lipstick or lipgloss application.

It stays on your lips far longer than many other balms I’ve used so you don’t need to constantly re-apply and in turn this means that the balm lasts longer.

I adore this brand so it came as no surprise to me that I loved this lip balm. It is expensive but it works. It works really, really well and I’d rather spend £32 on a product that is going to do a brilliant job than £5 on a product that I’m going to bin within a few days because its either been used up already or just simply doesn’t work.

Omorovicza’s Award Winning Perfecting Lip Balm is available now and costs £32.
