Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga

Eau de Gaga is the second, hotly anticipated fragrance from Lady Gaga.

Like the lady herself, this fragrance, this unique fragrance couldn’t be more different from her first, Fame.

Eau de Gaga is described as ‘an extremely sexy and arousing smell for all genders’. Yep, that’s right. It’s a unisex fragrance.

I’ve never been that convinced about unisex fragrances, and this fragrance is no different.

In one way, I really like it, in another, it just reminds me of something my hubby would wear and I find that rather confusing!

I found the packaging and bottle very masculine, with it’s with black, sharp, rectangular bottle and silver face. It definitely doesn’t scream feminine or girly.

My initial reaction when I first smelt it was that it smelt like a men’s fragrance.

It has that certain woody, masculine, musky smell that I associate with the type of fragrance my hubby wears, but once I’d  adjusted to it, I could smell the fresh lime and florals coming through.

Notes of white violet blend with the lime and woody tones to create what I would describe as a confusing experience for me!

I like it, but I can’t decide if that’s because I want to wear it, or I want my man to!

I do love that Gaga has decided to create such a unique fragrance, it’s so in sync with her personality it’s untrue and if definitely one to try, if only out of curiosity.

Eau de Gaga is available now and costs £32 for 50ml.

Go For It Gaga!

Go for it Gaga!

Lady Gaga has been getting a hell of a lot of stick in the press recently about her alleged weight gain.

Since unflattering photos of her were posted all over the internet, it seems everyone has something to say about Gaga’s  body, and not much of it is nice.

Today, Gaga had something to say back.

The below is in response to thousands of her Little Monsters who begun to post images of themselves on her littlemonsters website under the heading Gaga created in response to her critics called:

“Be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities.”

Your Bravery

I have been startled and overwhelmed with pride and emotion the past few days.    Gratitude mostly. Seeing you post photos of things on your bodies and in your minds that you feel society tells you you should be ashamed of.

You are showing them you have no shame. You are brave, strong, and accepting not only of yourself, but of others through your experiences. You are proud to be born this way, and brave in your vulnerability with this community. Watching you all create a safe space online for people to be compassionate is the greatest gift you could ever give me.

My weight/loss/gain since i was child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But YOU have. My boyfriend prefers me curvier, when i eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been. i am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny.

This is who I am. And I am proud at any size. And i love you, and want you to be proud in any form you may take as well. Please don't look for kindness in critics, go  here you know the gold is. Here, in our hearts.

Love,
Gaga

She then posted these images of herself, stripped bare (literally)

The captions are her own.

Bulimia & Anorexia since I was 15

But today I join the Body Revolution

To Inspire Bravery

And BREED some m$therf*cking COMPASSION

While I sometimes question her motives, I’d like to say well done Gaga for hi-lighting to your millions of young and impressionable fans that there is no such thing as perfect and that we should embrace and love ourselves regardless of the way we look.

It’s really not what matters.

Lady Gaga Fame Eau De Parfum

After all the waiting it’s Finally here!

Lady Gaga has launched her debut fragrance Fame, her first fragrance from Haus Laboratories.

As has been widely reported, Lady Gaga Fame is the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible when airborne.

Lady Gaga Fame is built around 3 main accords; dark, sensual; and light.

The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade.

From the darkness the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron & apricot nectar.

Lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence with crushed Tiger Orchid & Jasmine Sambac.

I’ve been waiting what feels a lifetime to try this fragrance out and you know what, It wasn’t at all what I expected.

I expected a heady, dominating fragrance, yet despite the gothic packaging and bottle, the fragrance is actually surprising sweet and light.

The accords work together perfectly to create a pretty, floral, yet fruity fragrance.

In the words of the lady herself;

Enjoy the first ever fragrance from Haus Laboratotries. Fame, a beautiful prospect with a dark heart. X GAGA

Lady Gaga Fame is available now. 30ml RRP £25, 50ml RRP £32, 100ml RRP £55.
