KIKO MILANO Tropic Heat Prime and Fixer

Tropic Heat is the new limited edition capsule collection from KIKO MILANO.

A result of a collaboration with up and coming designers Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso who were selected by Vogue Talents to celebrate 20 years of KIKO MILANO, the collection is packed full of playful, vibrant colours and floral fruity decorations.

Perfect for summer the range comprises of fruity fragrances and sunny shades to embrace the season and lift your mood.

One of my favourite products from the range is their Prime and fix Water.

Unlike anything I’ve tried before this fixing primer spray can be used as both a primer and to fix your make up in place.

Available in three gorgeous scents (01 Red Fruits, 02 Green fruits and 03 Passion fruit and Coconut Milk) this water based spray is enriched with a delicate, fruity scent and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and radiant.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to like this product for a couple of reasons. I couldn’t get my head around spraying a primer on my face, nor could I fathom spraying my face to set my make up.

That said, I was pleasantly surprised.

You may notice that the spray possesses an ever so slightly pink, iridescent hint of colour. This itself does a brilliant job of bringing my skin to life and helping it to look more awake and refreshed.

I love the subtle scent and actually really enjoyed using it as a primer. Some primers can  be too heavy for my oily skin but the Prime and Fix Water was refreshing and light and helped to mattify my skin slightly too.

I really enjoyed spritzing it onto my face to set my make up, however I tended to wait until my mid day touch-up to do this as by that time my skin could do with a little refreshment and this worked brilliantly.

At just £7.90 it is a truly remarkable price for such a fab multi-purpose product.

I’m off to try one of the other scents before they go!

Kiko Lip Scrub Stick

Sometimes, a beauty product comes on the market that you never thought you'd want, need or use yet it turn out to become of your must have items.

This happened to me and Kiko’s new Lip Scrub (£5.90).

Designed to prep your lips for enhanced colour application, this exfoliation gently buffs away dry, chapped skin on your lips, revealing a softer, smoother pout.

Think of it a bit like a primer- with a great primer as a base, your make up lasts longer and stays looking fab. Well, the same can be said for priming your lips!

Packaged in a handy stick form and looking a lot like a regular lip balm, this exfoliator is infused with sugar and natural crystals which when applied to your lips in gentle, circular movements help remove any dry skin which could ruin your look.

Buff away until you've achieved your desired result (ie until all the dead, dry skin has gone) and remove any of the excess product with a tissue.

Slather your lips In a balm to moisturise them or apply your desired lippie and voila! Beautiful  healthy lips are yours!

You no longer need to muck about with messy products or resort to brushing your lips with a toothbrush (as I may have done!) to achieve soft lips, just give their handy lip scrub a go!

Kiko Life In Rio Exotic Shine Lipstick

I’ve been looking for a gorgeous, dusky pink lippie for AGES, ever since my limited edition M&S lippie ran out this time last year, and It’s taken me until now to find one!

My new favourite lipstick comes in the form of Kiko’s Life In Rio Exotic Shine Lipstick in shade 01.

This stunning, moisturising lippie is a bargainous £8.50 and is the exact shade I’ve been looking for!

It glides on easily, like a gloss but doesn’t slip off your lips and is highly pigmented, making for a brilliant combination.

The product is described as;

Combining the intensity and the ease of application of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss with the comfort of a balm. 

I couldn’t have said it better myself!

The creamy formula and pretty dusky pink hue gives my lips a lovely splash of colour without leaving them with that dry feeling so often associated with lipsticks and I find that it suits my skin tone perfectly.
